  • That's the PNG spirit!

You've bounded back from so much. I think the ankle was the last straw yesterday. What a bunch of disappointments.

The watermelon sounds like a real "spoil". I'm not overly fond of it but we've had two recently that were sooooo good. In fact for dinner last night that's what we had - fresh corn and watermelon and wasn't hungry for another blessed thing! Couple of times recently that was my "save" for the day. Love this time of year when things are so fresh and so good.

And agree you need to be spoiled. Hope things come together and you find out soon what good thing is going to come from all of yesterday's disappointments.
  • Hi, all. Your prayers are working...mom is improving daily. We've been practically doctored to death this past week. And it isn't over yet. We go to Cleveland Clinic Tues. to have her voice prosthesis changed. Then on Thurs, we go back to the GP for follow-up for the stroke, results of the tests taken last Thurs, and give him physical papers to fill out for her cataract surgery which is scheduled for Aug 6 - IF doc authorizes it since the stroke. *WHEW* Time for a tea break...notice, PNG, no coffee? I'm a good girl!

Jennifer, I'm going to go out to hear Kev's band Fri night...just how is it that one flirts?...I've never done it...TRULY. After all, (my 'I'm-so-fat-any-guy-I-expressed-interest-in-would-burst-out-laughing-and-humiliate-me' brain has always screamed at me) who would even LOOK at the likes of me?

Anagram, mom and I had fresh sweet corn last night, too. Oh, man, was it yummy!

Hi to everyone. I'm still trying to catch up. (And not doing a very good job of it, I might add.)

I'm doing TERRIBLY on the diet front! I just keep salving over my hurts, fears, frustrations, pains...etc., etc., etc.!! And on Aug 6 it will be a year since my lovely black kitty disappeared. Oh, and did I mention that my depression is trying to become a full out attack? Need I go on? I could, you know!

    Told ya, PNG!

    Later all. Love, Gayle
  • So happy to hear your Mom is improving, Gayle. That does sound like a lot of "doctoring" to do in a short time. Hope the cataract surgery goes well. Maybe thinking of your 60 lb loss can kick Mr. Depression in his fantail - I know we'll all cheer for you in that battle.

I think I've had a good week. Went to pool 3 times - back on track. Walked three times as well - twice today. There were two other times when there was no valid reason for me not to walk and I weaselled out. Not really too bad on food and great on water. Two super relaxing days this weekend.

Next week looking to be more of a challenge. A lot busier, more heat, humidity expected. Get to babysit next weekend - a treat but challenging too. No calories in baby hugs though.
