  • T J ' S Pumpkin Butter
Quote: Do they have Trader Joe's in NJ? They have an awesome pumpkin butter. It's "seasonal" so stock up if you want to have it all year!

I love to roast squash (acorn, butternut etc) and then add a big dollop of pumpkin butter.
So, I got me to Trader Joe's and tried it. DW roasted a Sweet Dumplin Squash tonight; we dabbed a little pumpkin butter on it. Really nice - VERY sweet (sugar is the first ingredient, before pumpkin).

Thanks for the tip. Pumpkin butter is really nice and adding it to squash is a great use for it since a little goes a long way.
  • Some time ago (before healthiness set in), my sister made, and I made a whole dinner out of:

those narrow baguettes, all sliced and toasted
    mascarpone
    tapenade
    pumpkin butter
ahh, I forget what the last spread was, but something red, maybe bell pepper
I think maybe a another sweet one, maybe apple butter

a piece of bread, a smear of mascarpone, a layer of spread ... mmmmmmm

one savory, one sweet, one savory, one sweet ... one with several together ...

    it was soooo good
