  • Thanks for the link Schmoodle. I'm definitely trying that.
  • I know it sounds odd, but I like green beans dipped in hummus.
  • Green beans in hummus sounds pretty good to me! I'm going to have to try it.

I really like some of the Kraft SB snacks. Perfect for a sweet fix since most of them are chocolate. Some other ideas:

    Lite Vienna Sausages
A few olives w/ a low fat cheese
Spread LF Laughing Cow cheese on a slice of turkey/chicken & roll it up
Leftovers (who say's a snack have to be "snack" food?)
  • Just thought I would share one of my new fav snacks...
small ww latortilla factory tortilla with a couple tbs hummus tahini(I also like roasted res pepper hummus) with tomato slices rolled up. YUUUMMMMM
  • apples w/natural pb
also luurve the sharp sharp cheeses..a little goes a long way flavor wise my fave at the moment is old amsterdam- a seriously aged gouda..hard as a rock so yummy
    lo-fat camembert on cucumber slices
    sb-friendly home-made "reeses pieces"
skim milk "topli chocolata" (kinda like hot pudding)
  • so, jandaman- home made reeses pieces? and topli chocolata?

Oh my, I need that recipe. I so miss chocolate!

  • ok here's the recipe for "reeses pieces"

    80-85% dark chocolate
    all natural pb
splenda or agave nectar to spice up pb (i don't use it)
tiny cupcake thingees or mini dixie cups

basically you slowly melt the chocolate bar in a hot water bath and pour it, slightly cooled but still liquid, into the dixie cup while turning the cup slowly to make sure it covers the sides as well as the bottom. freeze until firm, add pb and cover with more melted chocolate and freeze.

whew..now that i've written it down it seems pretty work-intensive but i usually make 2 dozen and have one as a snack. yummy!
  • I like to throw cooked spinach in a frying pan sprayed with some Pam. Add some Hidden Valley Ranch powder, a tiny bit of mayo, and some(ok I use more than some) parmesan cheese. Let it cook until it thickens a bit. Tastes just like spinach dip from restaurants.
  • my current fav snack is thin sliced eggplant layed on a baking sheet sprayed with i can't believe spray and sprinkled w/splenda - a great sweet treat!
