veggielover - i've had these ideas for a while now... *lol* but yeah, now that i'm focusing on weight loss, the baked potato does seem ironic. hehe

*LOL* there's all sorts of weird costumes out there, now... i even saw some at Target. i had to talk my DH out of getting the whoopee cushion costume! i'm trying to convince him to go as the Black Knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

once i get down to my goal weight (or at least, once i look like i have a waistline... ) he and i are going to dress up as Ash and Sheila from Army of Darkness. i can't WAIT for that one!

*psst!* don't wait for the last minute... get the lobster costume! you KNOW you want to!

I was being ironic. We're a Pagan/Wiccan family. I'm a witch every day, not just on Halloween (Samhain)!
One of my good friends knows that I am Pagan and she bought me a gag gift last year for Halloween.......a BRIGHT orange t-shirt that says I LOVE WITCHES! People do a double take when I where it.......I wear it all the time, not just for Halloween.

Rosario - thanks! heh... DH and i have a special place in our hearts for cheesy, movies. and Bruce Campbell is one of our favorite B-movie actors, so it just fits.

it prolly shows, that Halloween is one of my favorite times of year. i LOVE coming up with costume ideas!

the question is, will we be able to come up with the costumes...

veggielover - OMG! such baaaaaad puns, in some of those costumes! you could still go as the "one night stand" i think. there's nothing solely male about it, is there? that's just too funny.

i'm loving that lobster costume, too!

i dunno that i've ever seen the killer bunny as a costume, but that would be hilarious! i SO love that movie...

I think, eventually I'd make my own out of foam and felt!!

Did anyone see the movie DONNIE DARKO? I wanted to be Frank the Bunny, but it'll scare the living heck out of kids! The costume's like $500 on eBay!!!
My dog is going to be a lobster. When I get some time tomorrow I'll try it on him and send in a pic.

How cool!!

I ordered a sexy bunny costume from Torrid (www.torrid.com) with some fishnets. My partner is going to be Hugh Hefner--he'll be so cool!

Rosario, you should totally buy one of those 1$ bags of plastic snakes that they sell next to the green army men in grocery stores. My sister was Medusa last year, and just tied those into her hair-- it was hilarious!

I'm so glad people are coming up with creative ideas! I get so sick of people being a Naughty Nurse, or Sexy Cop, or Hot Devil, etc. Call me old fashioned, but I think it's better to show some creativity than just your boobs. ^_~

2 years ago I was Queen Frostine (from Candyland), last year I was Dean Martin (which was odd, as I'm an Irish girl!), and I think this year I'll be a drag queen. I think that would be a very liberating costume...

My husband and I are in the 501st-we are the Stormtroopers/Imperial Officers and so forth that work security at nerd conventions and Star Wars promotions. You COULD very well make your own...it just takes a lot of time, money, and learning involved to do it. It is totally worth it when you are finished, though.

My fiance just got done handmaking an authentic GhostBusters proton pack, with the gun, light,s and sounds. He hada jumpsuit made and everything. *sigh* Nerds are so cute.
I'm going to be a bumble bee-Antenae, wings and this black and yellow padded top. And since I am 19 pounds skinnier than I used to be, I think I'll pair it with a black mini skirt and my black kneee high boots
