So, FYI, don't exercise under the fan...
By God, I frickin' love the one under the fan/AC vent.

Does it really waft it around? Dang. I get the jitters if I see someone next to me without headphones (because they can hear you pass gas). But if they can smell it, I am nevertheless busted.

I'm like a whoppee cushion on the treadmill. A diet of fish, kimchi and oats does that to you.

Well first of all, you're not a lousy mother for not being able to ride a bike!

A lousy mother wouldn't give a sh!t about their kids and wouldn't think twice about going on a lovely bike ride with one of them.

I recently just purchased a cheap-o mountain bike with notions of grandeur. Although I'm overweight, I'm fairly fit (gym 4-5 times a week which includes lots of cardio and weight lifting) so I figured that getting on my bike and riding it TO the gym would be a piece of cake. However "to the gym" is a series of small up-hills. I. could not. do it. It takes some serious practice to actually get coordinated enough to ride a bike and some SERIOUS QUAD MUSCLES to get up those damn hills!! Next time, leisurely roll your bike up the driveway and walk it to wherever is flat, and start there! And honestly, you do need to play with the gears - I had to have mine on the easiest setting possible, sure my legs are going a mile a minute but at least my bike is actually moving lol.

don't be so hard on yourself!

Yes. Yes it does. You would think it would rapidly dissapate the smell but no. No it does not.

I think I have quads...somewhere...so you've one up on me. The worse thing is that I live exactly half way on a really long, very hilly road. I get to the top of my driveway and start flat and then it's downhill from there. It's actually worse coming back than leaving...

You aren't a lousy mother. Well, you might be, I don't know, but nothing in that story makes you one.

That story shows a mom trying to lose some weight. Good mom.
