Thank you so much for the encouragement! Did week 3 day 1 today - meaning i ran for 3 mins in one go (twice) and i didn't die! I actually could maybe have gone longer!
That' s so exciting to me! I've never ran before - in school we would do the 800m run and i would use my asthma as an excuse not to. My asthma wasn't even that bad i would only take my inhaler to school with me when it was PE days.

oh boy do i hurt today..... my legs were that awful heavy painful last night especially in my knees. This morning its my bum, back and top line (shoulders, across the front of my chest). I did some weights after w3d1 yesterday.

Still at least its a good pain if you know what i mean. Before i started c25k i rarely got sore after a workout and i thought i wasnt pushing hard enough - so i guess at least i know this is working.

I'll be starting C25K Today. I stopped running 6 months ago and managed to gain 20lbs! but before I was running 2 miles straight each time, I think I started too fast. Now i've got my Android with C25K app on I think this will moderate me a little so I don't get burned out.

good job rechyl.

I haven't seriously run in almost 5 days. I did go out for a 20 minute thing the other morning, but I baked in the sun. (It's still hot in Nov. in Houston) I'm losing the fever, but will try and get it back tonight.

Week 9 Day 1 tonight.

Wow Amanda you're nearly done! Good job. While I've just began.
Did my first run yesterday and must say I found it pretty easy though not as easy as I thought. I really can feel that extra 20lbs. But hopefully by the time i'm done with the program nearly all of it will be off again. After the run I felt really positive about the rest of the program and can't wait to get back to it.

Are you being very diligent to stretch both before and after your runs? I've been lucky in that I have only experienced any kind of muscle soreness after one run, and I think it's because I've been really good about stretching. I guess if the soreness is mostly from doing weights it might not completely prevent soreness but it might help.

I did Week 7 Day 1 earlier this week but forgot to post, and today I did Week 7 Day 2

so i did week 3 day 3 on Friday.

Bpatt i get heavy leg syndrome (as i call it) at least once a week regardless of what i do. it used to be worse when i worked a job where i had to stand all day so i think its linked to poor circulation or something. My dad gets it too and sadly hes on his feet all day every day during the week.

I have never really done isolated stretching tbh though. normally i go for a 5 min cooldown on the treadmill and stretch as i walk. I know i should stretch but i dont which is silly.
