Wow! 37 pills!? Nothing they told me at my center was like that. I'm on my 3rd day of preconditioning. The only thing I have purchased from them was the program and Phentatrim. I know I will have to purchase the protien drinks and the food class this Friday. I'm heading out to Walmart now to buy the Krill and Multivitamins. When I questioned my consultant about buying them somewhere else she said, you can do that but ours are tested and we know exactly how they will react with the plans. Well, I think Krill is Krill and a multivitamin is a multivitamin. If I can get them cheaper, I'm going to.

I hope things work out for you!

I'm going in for a consultation next week so I'll find out then, but you guys are such a wealth of information!
You are required to attend 6 classes of your choice during your plan (I think this includes maintenece as well, but I'm not sure) and you are supposed to get weighed at least twice a week.

After scanning through this thread, I would just comment:

1. Teachlady's advice is dead on

2. Different centers, then on to multiple counselors, result in a vast number of good and bad experiences, and unfortunately, not all are so wonderful. That is too bad, cause MRC is a great plan and it dirties up their good reputation. I have never felt pressure from my center. I have many of the supplements, but not because I felt I had to get them. I initially just began with must MRC6 and Coritrim, took my own multivitamin and omega3 (high quality too).

So sorry to read where people feel JERKED around. I just say, no matter what we are doing, we need to stay vigilant and not let ourselves be taken advantage of, just because we are trying to drop weight (making us vulnerable). Cause the truth is, the plan can be done, without MRC. Might take a little homework, but it can. I love the accountability factor MRC provides, but if they turn out to be a nuisance, then forget them!

I smiled and said, "Watching it?!" I always have excuses, I'm too tired after work to exercise, my lower back hurts, I get shin splints, I'm a picky eater and don't like a lot of fruits or veggies. To all this, my doctor said, "if you start exercising and losing weight, you won't have these issues except for the picky eater thing." And I KNOW he is right. But this is the heaviest I've weighed and I'm miserable. I don't have a lot of $$ so I was in complete sticker shock after my consultation. I've recently gone through a bankruptcy so getting or having a credit card is something I never want to do again and I'm pretty much living paycheck to paycheck.

So I'm trying to rationalize the cost of the program and trying to consider how much less my grocery (snacks & fast food) bills are going to be, then will it really work out in the end and be worth the upfront costs. I think the answer is yes but I haven't fully talked myself into it. I have a friend who is going to loan me the start up costs of $389 or $398.. can't remember.. but I'm worried about spending $130+ on the drinks each month that are required and the $79 each month for the Meta-Slim (I think that's the one she said I would be on). And then I've heard that once you get started they push other products and supplements on you and I just can't afford all that. I still have no idea how I'm going to afford $200 a month because I don't have that kind of income and nothing in savings.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Especially if you are paycheck to paycheck and don't really have extra cash... how have you been able to maintain on the program?

Thanks for "reading" :-)

I also live paycheck to paycheck - even with the great tax refund I got - nearly all of it is gone on bills. I did reserve the sign up fee with that money and honestly, it hasn't been an issue yet spending $100 for 10 boxes of HNS. I spend on average $40 less on my grocery bill & we only go out to eat once a month instead of 5-7 times a week. My boyfriend isn't even on the program or taking the HNS and he's already lost 15lbs. You can make it work! I kept saying I could never afford it - but you sacrifice what you can to save your life.

I was also able to afford - MRC-6, B6, B12, and the multivitamin. I did look at my CVS (because I work there and get a discount) and its about the same price as the center.

I am also super picky with veggies - but the cookbook has two recipes that are AWESOME to put with fruits & veggies - the first one is this one above - I just put the cottage cheese & mix in the food processor and blend until its creamy like cream cheese texture. SO GOOD!

The other one is mixed with the vanilla creme supplement and cottage cheese - again I was completely surprised that cottage cheese could turn into something so great!

I am also new to MRC. I bought the $40 bottle of Krill oil, then was shocked to find out that I need to take, at minimum, 6 pills a day, turning my 60 count bottle into a ten day supply! Can you explain how after the first month, each bottle will last 2 months, please? Does the amount you're required to take decrease?

I'm confused - you bought Krill at MRC? If so - you only take 1 per day. If you bought a store brand - then you'll need to go to the center and ask what the ratio is ... I am pretty sure there are some members taking Krill bought at CVS or Walgreen's - and they only take 1 or 2 per day.

I would recheck with your center if it is at all possible (and honestly would not exeed 2 per day until checking with them). The krill oil is "prescribed" as 2pills a day for the first month and then 1 pill a day after that. . . The other oils total woman, flax, etc. can require up to 6 pills a day but the krill should not exceed 2 daily unless you have a special health condition, but even then 6 seems very excessive.
