I have hiker butt. I have come to accept that I may never go down a pants size.

well my sisters were here for dinner last weekend and my youngerst sister reached her goal...she was telling us she finally went out and got some new clothes... she said and I quote... she now wears a size 7..... but these new 7's are the small size as her OLD 10's...... so i am guessing clothes makers are finally realizing stick people are NOT the norm..... I lost 24 lbs and my "fat clothes" oh i mean my normal clothes fit make MAKE better now.... and my top are no longer tight across my stomach.... to me that is a great milestone.... that was the day i realized i was losing weight

At 180, I'm a size 12/14 (depends on the cut)...at 150-155lbs, I'm a size 6...so I'd say about every 10 lbs for me.

I'd also say it REALLY depends upon whether the weight you lose comes from FAT or muscle/water.

These are jeans and a relaxed fit, exactly the same brand and style I used to wear in smaller sizes. I have given up on the size thing though and just hope I can get into my old jeans eventually since I have a gazillion of them.

Everyone else seems to wear smaller pants at a similar weight. And nowadays, the legs and butt get loser but the stomach stays snug. I got fat when I quit smoking just over 2 years ago and it seems that all the extra weight went to my midsection. Go figure.

Both of these ring true for me. I'm on a weight loss journey right now. I didn't weigh myself when I started because I didn't want to approach this as living by a number. My goal was to simply change my eating and exercise habits, i.e. a true life-style change from which weight would naturally drop.

I used my pant size rather than a scale as a general indicator. Once I get down to a size 8-10 or so, I'll pop back on the scale and then aim for whatever my healthy weight is according to medical charts.

I'm at 16 right now and it is the same as size 18 .... the waists continue to be tight whereas the legs and rear get looser as I drop weight. I'm getting kind of frustrated because it seems as if I've been a size 16 forever. I'm dying to get to size 14 because I think it will be easier to continue dropping from there.
