HI..havent been here in months..I have completely lost focus this summer and the scales are showing it now.Im up about13lbs from my lowest.
I had been stuck for months before and just kinda gave up.
We have had alot of stress but thats no excuse!!
So today I am focused on me...hubbys health had been my focus.
I am thinking of trying the cycling thing also..
Beach do you really only eat 600 calories some days?? Tell me what you eat and how many days of each you are doing. I need to be inspired !!
Hubby got a good bill of health with his heart last week when he had the heart cath. He still has the blood clot issue and will be on blood thinners for a long time and maybe for life. His glucose is out of control and we are not sure why. He was taken off his glucose med for a few days after the heart cath and it just cant seem to level out again. Time for us both to get some exercise in.
hugs to all

I worked out, well I did half a workout. Weights but no bike. I am too tired for the bike tonight. At least I did something. Also being nocturnal because it's going to be hot this week.

bleh.

DGRAMIE

On the low days my Calorie count is 600 c per day, for 3 days and than on the high day I go up to 1600 c for 4 days.

I eat low calories foods

break-veggie bacon,veggies & soy milk

Dinner-Lean Cuisine Entrees

supper-a salad or with 1/2 sandwich=total 630 cal

on the high days 1600 I eat what & all I want, but I never get over stuffed.

The best thing to do is to invest in a calorie counting book,or use one of the calorie counting web sites like fit day or daily plate or even spark people to keep track of your meals.

Hey There!

I've been underwater at work for the last week or so. There was a huge seminar scheduled at our site for a "go-live" event on a new test we're designing. This of course means that "The Feeder" was in her glory.

Banquets, cocktail parties, baseball games, breakfast chefs, cook outs, dinners out, and a booze cruise on one of the sales team guys yacht. She got to order the food for it all.

And I get to say I'm DOWN a pound after it all. WHEW!!!

I got out of some of it since it was my son's 3rd birthday. But most of it was white-knuckle all the way. The new operations girl said she had put on 21 pounds since joining our group in June.... Now there's a surprise!

I did not get around to any exercise, but now that they've all gone home again, I'm hoping to get back to walking in our Skywalk.

I'm just happy to get back here to catch up. Waves to all!

Hey all! I'm glad to say that I did great today. I stuck to my one pop and avoided the vending machine (which has been a struggle lately) and even have calories left over!!!

Had a POP day yesterday. It was good and I feel great today. My scales moved downward 3lbs overnight.
I have been counting calories for a year and half and love it! I had just slipped the past 2 months bad! I had also been stuck for a few months prior to giving up. So now Im back and fully focused on me.

I know I said I was going to avoid the scale, but TOM is gone once again, and I pushed the water yesterday and stay away from too many salty snacks. I was happy I stepped on the scale this morning. 184!!!! So now I will have to figure out my next goal.

Will post more later, just got some bad news from my sister and need to see how that is all going this morning.

HI Ladies

Not feeling well this morning,I think I coming down with the common cold,so I going to have [1000c ] today instead of my reg [600c].

Have stay away from my dh so he does get my germs now that he starting chemo tomorrow.

SPANKY-Congrats on your down 1 lb,with all that food around. You must be doing something right, even though you didn't exercise. I bet is counting calories that did the trick.

DREAM-That fantastic job to stay away from the vending machine. You must be congratulated for that alone,It takes a lot of will power for that. Thanks I hope it stays that way and not climb up again.

DGRAMIE-AHHHHHHHH!!! a 3 lbs weight loss, that wonderful, maybe you don't need my way of counting after all.

CEBME-Happy to hear the scale moved downward this morning and meeting you first goal.Best of everything for your second goal.

Still very busy. Down to 135.2.

One pair of size 8 black leather pants is baggy, another pair of size 8 black leather pants is still too small. I need to get into the smaller pair because the costume requires tight pants!

I never got fat on my stomach till I turned 35 even when I was really heavy before. Now I can't seem to get rid of it. Usually the last 5-10 pounds is stuck to my *** and thighs but this time I have a little pouch on my tummy that will not go away. ARGH!!!

Mornin'!

A good On Plan day yesterday. Today I actually woke up with some hope of getting out of the 130's....

Prinny--I read in Dr. Pam Peeke that she calls the "little pouch" the "Menopot"!!! That definitely describes me. When menopause hit it was like ALL of my fat cells got an order to "March" overnight. And now they're camped right on my lap.

Beach bum--my prayers are with you. You've got an awfully hard time going on.

As to binges, I'm trying so hard to try to limit them by having a teeny bit of what I want to binge on. Last night it was 5 Milk Duds. I think the real binges will end when I finally get sick of failing to meet my goals. Hoping I've actaully, maybe reached that point.

Kind of down today. Worrying about how to meet tuition payments for my DH's last year of school and needing to sort out the student loan thing. He was inured on the job 2 years ago and we lost everything and went bankrupt. Np idea if we can even qualify for such a loan. Blech.

Anyways, enough whining. This morning is On Plan so far and I have a shot at the 120's this month. A GOOD thing...

spanks

Good morning all, I am just going to jump in here if that 's okay.

I don't know any of you yet, but Beach bum, I just want to send good thoughts for you and your husband. Although the cancer is only in one spot, there has to be tremendous stress in having to go through all of the treatment again.

I have visited forums here on several kinds of diets but really feel that calorie counting is what works for me. I started faithfully tracking in a little notebook about a month ago, and so far have lost 6 lbs.

So far, I see some interesting things here like the idea of having low and high days-- I presume that is to try and fool our metabolism. Has anyone noticed that it really works? My thing is that I have been so hungry even on 1200-1400 calories a day that I don't think I could go much lower.

I'm really hoping to stay on track this time.

BTW, what does POP stand for? (I know somewhere I saw an explanation of what different acronyms mean, but there are so many threads here that i don't know if I could find it again.)

Hi Ladies

We just came back from chemo center.

The traffic was horrendous, lucky it was the other direction. Its was a long day as the both of us got up at 6:15 and out of the house at 8AM.

We got there earlier than our appointment so the doctor didn't get to order in for the chemo from the pharmacy,so we had to wait until that was placed,After that the chemo was ready and it took only 10m in inject. we were on our way home.

Had more to eat than I was suppose to on my low day but I needed comfort food in order to heal my cold and walla it disappeared.I fine again, and fortunately I stay the same.

JENDIET-Thanks,we we're there before and we will battle this on also. I like counting calories, but it can be very frustrating until you find what range works for you. I was up & down on the scale, until I found that going low & high is whats working for me.

PRINNY-WOW your still loosing you're going to be down to nothing
Wish I was down to your weight[goal weight] but that's going to take time to get down that far.

SPANKY-My you're like Prinny with the low weights. Thanks, we will get though this,as its our 3 time to bout this cancer.

EMILEIGH-Thanks for your good thoughts and welcome to the chat. That how I feel about diets the just deprived you with there programs but counting calories you eat what you want as long as you count them.

hey everyone.

i'm new to this counting cals things and so far so good.. i try to stay under 1500-1600 each day ..

i usually workout but have had a cold for the last week or so, so i haven't been to the gym

my question is, by counting calories and staying under a certain number still show weight loss, even if you are not working out consistantly?

let me know, i get so down on myself when i get outta the gym routine. it would be nice to have something to still think positive about(counting)when i do so...

congrats to all, your motivation and success is inspiring!
