Loriann, sounds like you have a ton of great ideas for names! I understand why it might be hard to have a reminder of your brother, but it might be a nice reminder, though, right?

Please do consider fixing him. There are so many dogs out there without good homes. Whenever someone has an unplanned litter, the puppies from that litter take possible homes away from those in the shelters--leaving even more dogs to be euthanized. It's something I feel really strongly about. Just my $0.02. Getting off the now...

I like Andy.. I'm totally against naming my pets after generic pet names (i.e. my all black cat is named miss alice)

I love when people name their pets people names or after celebrities, like Ringo or Humphrey Bogart ha.

beachgal, I often have "preached" that same song! Usually when people buy a purebred, and thats what the puppies would be, purebred, they spend a pretty penny for it, and usually (though not all the time, as in the case of this puppy) they do train it and give it a good home.

And wether it's my puppy that fathers them or not, breeders are going to breed t heir females! So, why not jump in on it?

OK, I think I have a middle name for him...

My favorite author, one of them, is Arthur Walkington Pink (I KNOW, I KNOW, STRANGE)... so I was thinking Walkington! Different ...

My other all time favorite is William Gurnall.... I could use Gurnall, it's original! (pronounced Grrrrr n all!

Tucker Walkington
Tucker walkington Gurnall

Johnny Tucker Gurnall
Johnny Walkington Gurnall
Johnny Walkington

Jessie Tucker Gurnall
Jessie Tucker Walkington

Gurnall Walkington?

Tell me to shut up if I'm over obsessing!?!!!!

I like Jessie! I have a dog and his name is Einstein. He's a Goldendoodle, so he looks like a golden retriever with a bit of a perm. The hair on top of his head is crazy like Einstein, but so far, he's no genius, but we love 'em anyway!

Now, I wouldn't suggest this for anyone else...but if "I" had a black male dog, his name would be Sirius. That would be the only option.

Considering his love for water I would be tempted to call him Puddles (sorry, just kidding) but naming him after a lake might work nicely. Powell? Roosevelt? Seneca? Keuka?

I had a small dog named lucky, so I associate it with small dogs. We had black labs--Nick and Sam. So I want to say "Tucker" is my favorite out of your choices! =]

what do YOU think of it... you could call him puppy till you figure it out.

my dogs are Bagel Henry and Hannah Bean.

Bagel will answer to bagel, baygs, bay-bay or FAT DOG.

Hannah answers to Hannah, han-NA or her fav BEAN DOG

both dogs come when i call PUPPIES COME.

these PUPPIES are 9 and 6 years old.
