Loriann, sounds like you have a ton of great ideas for names! I understand why it might be hard to have a reminder of your brother, but it might be a nice reminder, though, right?
Please do consider fixing him. There are so many dogs out there without good homes. Whenever someone has an unplanned litter, the puppies from that litter take possible homes away from those in the shelters--leaving even more dogs to be euthanized. It's something I feel really strongly about. Just my $0.02. Getting off the now...
beachgal, I often have "preached" that same song! Usually when people buy a purebred, and thats what the puppies would be, purebred, they spend a pretty penny for it, and usually (though not all the time, as in the case of this puppy) they do train it and give it a good home.
And wether it's my puppy that fathers them or not, breeders are going to breed t heir females! So, why not jump in on it?
I like Jessie! I have a dog and his name is Einstein. He's a Goldendoodle, so he looks like a golden retriever with a bit of a perm. The hair on top of his head is crazy like Einstein, but so far, he's no genius, but we love 'em anyway!
Considering his love for water I would be tempted to call him Puddles (sorry, just kidding) but naming him after a lake might work nicely. Powell? Roosevelt? Seneca? Keuka?
I had a small dog named lucky, so I associate it with small dogs. We had black labs--Nick and Sam. So I want to say "Tucker" is my favorite out of your choices! =]
