  • Oh my goodness! That would be so hard for me. I would end up eating at least one slice of pie. I guess it would be okay if I ate only one slice, but NO MORE. Will power Renee Will power. Stay strong.

Yesterday started out good, but not many alternative choices for lunch. I ended up eating a grilled cheese sandwich and fries. I know-bad. Today I hope to do better.
  • Hi Everyone

Corinna - I need to take you up on your challenge!

Sorry I haven't checked in for a while - I have been so busy trying to take care of everything for everybody else that I have been not taking care of myself. The result is a gain of about 4 lbs - eating on the run does not agree with me!!! Not only do I gain, buying prepared food or restaurant food makes me feel bloated and gross. I have to get back to whole homemade foods!!

Will update my weight on Saturday.

Renee - I just finished taking in all the apples from my daughter's tree - there were a ton of them this year. I refused to bring any home as I know I will want to bake, and if I bake I will want to eat!! Stay strong!
  • So I think I figured out now that I am strongest in will power in the morning and weakest in the evening when I am hungry and tired. Perhaps I should eat a big breakfast, a smaller lunch, and a light snack for supper. I think I will try that tomorrow....especially after eating a bunch of sesame snacks this evening. I did what I normally don't do (and know I shouldn't do), which is to sit down and eat in front of TV. Yup you guessed it, before I knew it, all the sesame snacks were gone. I don't feel good now. My own fault too. This is a growing process that never ends it seems......what was I doing

Welcome back Jude!! Glad to have you join the challenge. We need you!!!! I look forward to all of us getting back on track together. We can do this!!!!

  • Hope you all have a wonderful Friday Happy Halloween!!!!

Wishing you the will power to stay strong. Moderation is key!!!

  • Well, I'm down .6 lbs. Sorry Corinna, I didn't meet the challenge. It was really hard...the Halloween candy was calling my name Will start over today....have a wonderful week everyone!

    Renee
  • Renee - So glad to see that you have starting moving downward again. Every little bit counts, so good for you!

Corinna - Hope you have had a good week. It is good to be able to identify your weak times, and hopefully your plan has helped.

I am back feeling myself again, and back on plan. I have dropped the 4 lbs. I gained and 0.8 lb more Apparently stress can play a big role in preventing weight loss.

    Stay strong, everyone!!
  • Awesome weight loss, Jude!
  • Hey folks,

Haven't been around for a while. I hope you're all doing well regardless of scale issues.

    Jude - that's a great loss!

Yesterday I jumped on the scale and was happy to see 143. That would have been the lowest for me in a long time. Today I'm back up to 146. So I won't be changing my stats until it sticks but I think I can move the scale in the right direction now. Seeing that low (for me) number made me feel a bit positive.

Hang in there everyone. Halloween is the beginning of the holiday season. We don't get kids dropping by so no candy in the house here. I don't even like candy - I go for chips and salty foods.

  • Start 1/20 @223.1# & Target = 198.1
    9/13 = 207 = -16.1
    9/29 = 206 = -17.1
    10/19 = 204.7 = -18.4
    10/25 = 204.3 = -18.8
    November 1 = 203.9 = -19.2
  • Well Renee, I got on the scale this morning and it said 2.5 lbs GAIN. I didn't eat any candy either. That was after a 2 hour bush walk yesterday, and a 3 hour bike ride this morning. Neither one was easy either. I don't understand it. Last weekend I mowed the yard, so maybe that burns up more calories. I didn't eat that bad during the week for that type of weight gain. Anyway....you did good though. Yeah Renee!!! I am happy for you with your 1/2 lb loss. Yeah!

Congratulations Jude, for getting back on track and then some. Those pounds are dissolving away off you.

Lizzie-I think your scale is telling you that you are on the verge of tipping it in the right direction! So very close! Keep at it Lady!!!
  • Hi Everyone
    Hi,

I am new to Ideal Protein. Have lost about 7 pounds in first 2 weeks, so that is very nice. I am an expert at loosing weight and then gaining it all back!

I plan to be at or below my goal by Christmas, so when New Years come, I will be ahead of the game! Then my New Years resolution will be to maintain my weight loss instead of losing weight.

Today I had an extra IP packet..was so hungry. Is anyone else exercising while on Phase 1? I had started a few months back but was told to stop exercising on Phase 1. I really don't want to do that because it is so hard to get started again. I take classes at a local gym, I am not super athletic or coordinated but it keeps me moving.

Happy November, best of luck to you!
  • Katcrave

Corinna, we will do better next week
  • Welcome to the group Katcrave!!

Renee-We must do better this week. Last week was an eye opener. I agree on the will power dust. We need to follow Jude's example.

Jude-you are a motivator for us all this week!
  • Katcrave. Seven pounds in two weeks is great. I'm not familiar with the IP diet.

Corinna - those daily ups and downs of the scale can really drive me bonkers too
  • Hi Lizzie, yes, I am tired of the yo-yo effect.

Here with some more words of wisdom I found to share:
