  • Gary are you watching the Cards Angels game tonight?
  • Quote: OK now I feel guilty That's a good reason to not play.

    Ouch stepped on that hurt.

We're playing the Nationals tonight. Up 4-0 at the moment.
Oh no reason for guilt Clyde... we have our share of whiners ... lol...
  • I guess we can start calling this a 'rebuilding' year... <sigh>

  • Woo hoo great game. Won 9-5.

They walk Schumaker to load the bases and Brad Penny comes up, grand slam. Then Lopez home run.

Brad Penny left the game top of the next inning injured. Are you kidding me? Strained his latissimus dorsi!!
  • This is cool. Most of us are represented.

Thanks Clydegirl... those are beautiful shots...

I'm not sure what's going on with our pitching... Beckett is on the DL, Dice K is as inconsistent as my scale... and in my opinion Lackey is not comfortable here at all 'yet' ?... I look around at some of the pitchers we traded (Penny and Arroyo, come to mind) having pretty good seasons so far... I'm waiting for David Wells to pop up somewhere LOL... Yet... we keep plugging along... Phillies again tonight...

    Enjoy the games everyone...
  • BILL... where art thou ? You OK ?
  • What a difference a day makes.

Kyle Lohse was awful, pulled in the third inning. Looks like he might be injured.

Brad Penny on the DL after last night.
  • Well Dice K was a little more consistent tonight... He no-hit the Phillies into the bottom of 8th 2 outs.... oh... so close... we are winning 5-0...
  • Where is everyone ?????
  • Quote: Where is everyone ?????
I'm here. You and me Caroline holding down the fort.

Got the win today against the Angels in the 10th inning. I love walkoffs.
  • Reporting in.

I saw the musical, Johnny Baseball at the ART in Cambridge, MA last night. A really funny portrayal of Red Sox fans and the history of The Curse. The fictional character, Johnny O'Brien who earns the nickname Johnny Baseball, is the best pitcher ever in the 1920's. The shallow story line is on the serious topic of racism with bold reminder that the Red Sox were the last team in Major League Baseball to field an African-American, and that wasn't until 1959. A fun evening.

And, they sold Italian Sausages and Hot Dogs from a typical Yawkey Way vendor truck.

Now all we need is for the rest of the gang to check in...
  • Well TEAM I came back from yankee town in 2nd place After being in 1st two of the days I was gone...oh well...

off on a 16 game in 16 day run....starting with the cubs....will be home for most of that run....

gonna see Colorado D...Bid Bird and SHANON along the way....
  • Sorry, it was one of those weeks last week and then I was in Denver for my niece's graduation. So busy that I didn't even know how the Rockies did. Well, we're back up to .500. Looks like Gary will be cheering for the Cardinals since they are playing the Padres (I think?). We're at home for 6 games... DBacks and then the Dodgers.

I'll be distracted starting on Saturday, though. We have the Junior College World Series starting here in town and I'll be planting my butt in the stands for as many games as I can. Absolutely love JUCO!! The weather looks good, so I'm very excited! There are 4 games on Saturday, 3 games on Sunday and Monday. Then I have to go back to work... so I'll only be able to go to the night games starting on Tuesday. I'll keep you posted!
