It's really not my business to speculate on why Gary has been busy, but feel free to infer what you want from the Los Angeles Times:
    Quote:
Geezer The San Diego County bank robber dubbed "the Geezer Bandit" by the FBI has struck again.

He is suspected of robbing the California Bank and Trust on Tuesday in suburban Vista -- his seventh bank job since late August.

His age, estimated to be between 60 and 70 years, has given rise to the FBI nickname. He often wears headgear.

On Tuesday, he appeared to wear a Padres cap. He waited patiently in line and then flashed a revolver at the teller and demanded money, the FBI said.

Three banks have offered rewards totaling $16,000 for his arrest. Tipsters can call the FBI at (858) 565-1255 or San Diego County Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
It's worth clicking the article for the picture: 'Geezer Bandit' hits seventh San Diego area bank
  • They still haven't caught that guy?!?!
  • Hmmmm.....he's about the right age for me, smart, good physical shape and must be rich. Maybe he'll head this way!
  • Ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuth!

  • I checked out the article, the picture does resemble Gary......hmmmm
  • Naw, not even close. Though it may be Bill, he's just trying to throw 'em off his trail!
  • Can't be Bill, the guy has two ears and Bill is clear across the country.....and Gary lives in that area ....could it be ?
  • Ah, but that's what BILL wants you to think!

He's got a clever disguise in the photo, no?

  • Thanks BILL!

I will have you all know that is not me...I don't live in Vista....but...

I went to school there...my church is there...I have done business at that bank in the past and I can throw...

OK...I used to be able to throw a rock from my city to Vista

    dang overused drywall shoulder.....
  • * sigh * 100 more posts to go.
  • So, Ruth when will you be going out of town again? Somewhere around the 500 mark again ? Don't think I haven't noticed this tendency of yours be absent at the most important time. If this doesn't stop you will be sent to the principals office, or the Canadian equivalent.
  • Hi everybody!! we made it to Colorado safe and sound!! We did have 50 mph wnds though from Pratt Kansas almost to Lamar Colorado---and they were hitting us broadside!! Wasn't fun trying to keep a 36 feet 5th wheel on the road!!
