  • Scale is not too happy right now haha I guess I did more damage than I thought with the mini Thanksgiving on Saturday and leftovers yesterday! Back to fasting today and my tummy is grumbling. Plan is to do 4:3 through the end of the month. I'll probably schedule a 2 week maintenance break sometime in January so I don't stress myself out too much. I'm pretty close to my goal for the year, but I'd love to surpass it!

    AmethystJean - Personally, I would start with one, and then decide if you want to add another. I found a combo of 16:8 and 5:2 to be too much, and that was after I did 5:2 (rather successfully) for over a year. Whatever you end up doing, good luck!

    nayla - Whoops, I guess I read that wrong Well enjoy your time at home without traveling. Looks like we are fasting together today.
  • Well I wasn't actually implementing it, but I ate
    700, 1000, 2000 (party!), 400 the last 4 days, with the two lowest days also starting eating at 3 pm, so I guess it's more like I'm doing 16/8 on the two fast days. Not that I was really trying or anything, that's just how I ate. Today is a normal day breakfast snack lunch have come in at 613. I have a high calorie dinner tonight (avocado, nuts, olives!)I don't think I can eat like this again tomorrow and will end up eating less again.

    My husband got a job and finished his Bachelors today! So I'm sticking to 16:8 today! Gonna go have dinner with the family to celebrate! Yay!!!

    Thank you very much... today is not such a happy day. My grandpa is undergoing open heart surgery as we speak so any good vibes and prayers my family's way would be appreciated. Thank you!

  • Grandpa is in ICU but surgery was a success. Doctors did what they needed to do, now he has to do the rest in recovery. Thank you for asking.

    Eating window is going well. My mindset is not on fasting this week but I'm sticking to my 16:8 at least.
  • nayla - congrats to your husband! Sending well wishes for your grandpa. Good for you for still sticking to 16:8. I know it is hard to stick to any dietary plan when under stress (and celebrating!)

    Today is fast 2 of 3 for the week. Still working on getting rid of this Thanksgiving bloat. I would be happy to be back at my low weight by Saturday, and back to losing next week. I'm trying to cut down on my coffee intake on fast days, so I brought more of my favorite tea to work. I also am tracking my calories on non-fast days, hopefully that will help keep me on track!
  • Fast yesterday 300 calories. Nice jump of 2 lbs on the scale today. Looking at at least 1226 calories for today. That's what I have planned so far. So far doing the fast day rather than eating window thing. That works for me too but this is just how it has happened. I honestly am not following anything just doing what has come naturally to me which has been following a normal day of eating with a fast. I just kind of listen to what my body needs. However if I look at the 4 days I fasted, normal, fasted, normal (I didn't exercise 3 out of 4 days and that would have made a huge difference) my net deficit was just over 400 calories or avg 100 cal/day. If I look at my net deficit for the entire last 10 days eating normally generally, my deficit was 2454 cals or 245.4 cals per day avg. So I need to watch that I am exercising and not rebounding with 2300 cal days after my fast.

    AmeythystJean, I haven't found my style of eating yet with this WOE. I am just checking out all of your different styles and trying at this point to get my cravings under control. Today I'm going to try and wait as long as I can to eat, and then start tracking my windows and calories.

    Noname we weigh about the same. I have been down to almost 170 before and then I just start eating my way back up. I'm sick of that routine.

    Well yesterday I managed a 6 hour window....
    Today I'm trying for a fasting time of 24 hrs. just to see if I can do it. Then I'm gonna eat till I'm full and go to bed.
