  • Hi all! I'm making my way into this thread after being in the180s (seemingly) forever. My weight this morning was 177.6!! Time to kick some 170s butt!
  • Still at 179 come on scale MOVE down!
  • No weighing for me for a week or so, there's no point until I get rid of period bloating, but I'm sure I'll be stuck at 172 for a good, long while. Have you tried "tricking" your body by zig-zagging calories?
  • 179.2 this morning. Yay! I'm going to visit a friend on June 26th so my goal is to be out of the 170's by then.
  • I'm new to the 170s so i think i'll be fighting along with you guys for a while! lets goooo!!!
  • I think I am going to try the zig-zagging method with calories - I need to burst out of this 174 bubble I've been in the past two weeks!
  • I've been at the 178-175 range for a month, and I wanna get out of here! I don't even REMEMBER the 170s (how they got put on lol) and I don't want to! How do you break through a plateau and find more inspiration??
  • I second that emotion. I've been stuck here for over a nine months... I'm just under four lbs from breaking into the 160's.

I 'm starting to feel like it will never happen.
  • I want to lose slowly, I'm more comfortable that way because while I'm not sure the science agrees with me, it feels like I'm giving my body time to adapt instead of stressing it out with major changes. So I don't look at it as plateaus, I look at it as a good investment in making maintenance easier, as long as it's no more than a few weeks.

I've started losing weight by going moderately low carb and cutting out bread, potatoes and sugars, but keeping in "good carbs". If you're eating low carb already, I'd try doing some High Intensity Training (jump rope for instance) or zig zagging your calories or even dropping your carbs even lower if you can but eating good fats and nourishing your body with plenty of protein and greens and non-sugary veggies. If you're not eating low carb, I'd recommend you try it, even if only to kickstart your weight loss again and see if it's a good fit for you.

Last but not least, I'd recommend a very realistic, small mini-goal. Last time I felt stuck, my mini-goal was to lose ANY weight, even an ounce, by a certain date. I put a little more energy into my walking, walked harder and longer and since it was also a very depressing weekend, I slept during the day. I only really woke up to eat, walk, go to the bathroom and went back to bed. It helped.
  • I am hoping today is my day....*fingers crossed*. Some of you may remember me....or NOT but I got here for a lot longer than planned to being injured the last month. SO I haven't gained anything only maintained...woohoo for that.
  • Welcome Chouchoubou

dizzysoi - I have been in the low 170's at least 6 months but I am okay as long I am not gaining. It gets frustrating but I also know things along the way that I have done that has stalled my progress. Re-evaluate your plan and reason for losing the weight. SOmetimes that brings things back into perspective.
  • 171.2 this morning. Maybe I'll be in the 160s by this weekend. I have my fingers crossed.
  • *waves at cakebatter*
Tomorrow I'm gonna weigh in. I have a feeling the scale hasn't moved, but I'm keeping upbeat about it
  • 172.2 as of last evening oh well. I will plugging along.
  • Hi! I'd like to join you all. I've been in the high 170s since last week. Lets keep each other motivated.
