  • Quote: Andi...we'll allow the blue attire for this occasion and only this occasion! LOL!
Just for tonight or for every time I go to boot camp?! Jillian was not there on their season so I don't feel right wearing red on these nights.

Gaia, I hope your mouth is feeling better soon. Did they mention what was causing this? It sounds like no fun whatever it is.
  • Day 2 completed! Had a little extra dessert (not a binge) but I still remained within calories for the day, so I should be ok. Hey it's my TOM and something had to give a little. I like that with my moderation plan, even my "splurge" was about 3 times smaller than my old dessert size!
  • WOOHOO Emily!! Way to show us all how its done!! Great job again today!!

Gaia...treadmill probably isnt such a good idea if the meds are making you drowsy anyway, we dont want you getting sent to the ER again!
  • Way to go Cat!! See food has no control over you! You can indulge, enjoy and not feel guilty!! Excellent job!
  • Hey ladies o the red....
good to see you all on here, its sure hard to keep up!
I managed to get a slow walk in with my dog, but food was not healthy today...it is hard when Im on holidays, but at least I tried today, instead of running through every drive thru i could find....only 2 more days then I will be home and able to plan meals more easily...

Vanetta-from reading your 'thoughts' a while back, i was thinkin...would something like a round raised bed work around your trees, then you wouldnt have to dig ?
Stace-Im cheering for Montreal - of course!! ( I really only watch at the playoffs, so Im just cheering since they are Canadian!lol
Staceylambert-your recipe for the souffle thingy sounds yummy! care to share?

    See ya all tomorrow!
  • Whew, 8 pages since yesterday morning. Perhaps, we could get exercise points for reading it, because I'm tired now!

Everybody has such great ideas. I keep trying to catch Shimmy on FitTV but I always miss it. I'll keep watching. Today is going to be a running day, but I think after work will be easier today. I am going to do an exercise tv workout this am. I am really trying to stay OP with the food. Loved the what do you have to have in your pantry answers. Some new ideas which I needed too.

Hope everyone has a great day.
  • Quote: LOL Heather!!! I know that feeling!! I get it on my regular bike and its extra padded! I cant even imagine what a spin bike would do to meh tushy! How did you like the class besides that?
I don't think it's my thing. Besides the fact that my tush feels like I sat on hard pointy rocks for twelve hours yesterday I found it a bit tedious. I know tons of people love it and I might give it another shot later on. It was 45 minutes and I did definitely get my sweat on, but I think I prefer to read my magazines while on the bike lol!

In unrelated news I'm down 5lbs since our original weigh in!! toot toot on my own horn :-)
  • jelynn - Awesome job yesterday. Pulling a wagon is no easy feat! Especially when filled with kiddos!

cak - I binged yesterday with chocolate and it is not because of TOM unfortunately. Congrats on Day 2 of being OP!

Heather ~ Great job on being down 5 pounds already! That is awesome!

I hope everyone has a great day! I am beyond tired thanks to taking a 5 hour energy shot last night before going to boot camp and not being able to fall asleep until midnight and having to wake up at 5:30. Uuugggh I hate these days. Can I just go back to bed?
  • Hey Ladies (and gents?), wow! Thanks everyone for running with the push-ups...Melissa-hun.e.b....I love all the different exercises for th challenge!

For people who are not able to do modifieds right now, I started out pushing against a wall, then the counter, then the modifieds, then the toes...it took a couple of months for sure....

Hu.e.b....you say 40? dang! i have some work to do!

Jen415, I really like the tip of meditating-praying everyday....i am not religious either, but i do believe in positive intentions and being clear about what i want in my life...and the act of creating clarity and intention can only be beneficial....

diva, i think you are well on the way to being the red team socialite! you are able to give so much attention to each person...that rocks....

hun.e.b....any specifics on the challenge, besides having it start on sunday?

oh, and i love the hard attitude! lol....i saw a pic of jillian on her website with a t-shirt that said "bully" and i thought, well, sometimes you do need someone to push you a little harder..
  • Good morning my lovely RED teammates!

Chicki, thank you for the compliment! I do try to give everyone a little something something when I can. I prolly won't be so on top of things once I fond myself a job, unless I am one of the lucky ones who has internet @ work and no prying eyes.

elynn - Awesome job yesterday. I bet it was a total Kodak moment too! I had a nice pic in my head of you pulling a lil' red wagon full of little ones.

cak - I had me some chocolate because of TOM and I don't feel bad at all, lol! Congrats on Day 2 of being OP!

Heather ~ Great job on being down 5 pounds already! That is awesome! I'm jealous, hehe.

Andi, you are doing yourself a dis-service not getting enough sleep. That is when we rest our bodies & mind and heal ourselves girly! Ya need to try and aim for at least 7 to 7 1/2. Don't make me come over there!

FCBG- Sorry about your booty hurting. I hope it feels better soon. Dang spin class, they will kill ya!

Mavis - I hope ya caught Shimmy on Fit-tv.

Back in a bit, gotta carry the boy to school.
  • Okay, back! I am HUNGRY this morning, which stinks because I was going to try and do the Yoga on Fit-tv this morning and then eat breakfast. They say not to eat before Yoga, but why? and who are "they" anyways? I always wondered who "They" are.

I'm actually still sore from TBL2 workout I did on Monday, and now I am even more sore from Belly Dancing last night! Whodda ever thunk that?! It was cool. Everyone was already in their rooms and I had the living room to myself, it was dark and I felt sexy doing it.

Anywho, TOM has arrived, even earlier this time than last and the time before that. I swear EVERY month it gets here earlier & earlier. What's up with that??? Dang....Is that how it wants to be when Jesus comes? j/k. Going to try and stay motivated for Yoga & the treadmill later.

    Getting Back on the Wagon

It happens — you miss a few workouts in a row because of a late night at the office and suddenly your weight-loss efforts seemed derailed. It's tempting to mentally slap yourself around, isn't it? Well, chill out! Being hard on yourself is the old you, remember?
Now, you know to take setbacks in stride and get right back on that wagon. You wouldn't think of wasting even a minute to beat up on yourself. After all, there are no mistakes, just learning experiences. Weight loss is a process and every process takes time. You will encounter small failures — everybody does! Remember, every pound you gain can be lost.

If you miss a workout, it's not the end of the world! Get to the gym the next day and continue to focus on your short-term goals. Just because you made bad choices today doesn't mean you can't start over tomorrow. I know it sounds trite, but every day is truly a new beginning.
  • Good morning ladies~ Yesterday was way better for me. My calories were OP for the day and although I didn't go to the gym, I did workout at home. I did my upper body weights and then a 40 min. workout video. Tonight is my OA meeting. I'm excited because we're having a speaker tonight. I think it will really help to hear other peoples story, and how they are doing now. My throat is bugging me a little bit. Nothing major, but just enough to be annoying. The sun is shining today for me, although it's not supposed to be much warmer. I can't wait to open my windows back up and sit on my patio. I'm going to do another workout show at home today. I just can't seem to bring myself to the gym this week. With TOM coming I don't handle people very well, so it's for the best I can't wait for the weekend to arrive. I wanna sleep in so bad it's not even funny!

Diva- I've tried that Shimmy before on FitTv, and I swear I had to of looked a fool. I should try it again though and see how I like it. I love FitTv though. Have you ever recorded All Star Workouts? There are a couple that I really like Boot Camp with Kendell and then Ellen Barrett has a few that I really enjoy also. You just search under All Star Workout and it should pop up. I've also tried that yoga and again I felt akward. Maybe it's something I just need to get used to.

I hope you all have a fantastic day
  • I'm going to print that out Diva....something I need to work on big time. I'm awful with beating myself up for eating something I shouldn't, or not working out. Thanks
  • I don't know where we're supposed to post our pushup-challenge stats - I doubt in here as there is already enough going on!

I do have a warning though -- don't try to do the crunches right after the plank move. I wasn't even thinking this morning when I did that and my number of crunches was crazy low because my abs were all like "ummm...hello?! we just held the plank for how long and now you want us to do what? you're nuts lady!"
