And to address the "only one pound" issue.....honestly, people, it messes up your head when you feel like what you're doing isn't good enough and that you have to make excuses for every quirk of the scale.

I was totally rockin' the weight loss with steady (but slow) downward movement on the scale every week. But I'm participating in another challenge on 3FC, and the other chicks are pretty regularly losing 3 to 7 pounds a week.

I really let that get to me and start playing head games with myself thinking I wasn't doing it "right" and that I was never going to reach goal. And, honestly, because of that thinking, over the last couple weeks, I've kinna let myself give up. But....I'm ready to start over. I'm me, this is my body, and I'm gonna do it my way. Only one pound DOWN is a whole lot better than one pound UP!

    ***Much better week***

*THANKS Mortonpixie and Amber...I know I can be waaaaayyyy hard on myself! I have P90x and it's TRULY no joke! Kudos to you MP for keeping up with that. Are you following their meal plan as well? It's actually a pretty good one...simple, but it's true...if you follow the entire plan, in 90 days you're bodyfat will be drastically reduced!

I had to stop doing it, cuz I smoked at the time and was waaayy too out of shape to keep up. I will revisit it after I reach my goal of running 5 miles really fast! lol! Found a new love now...so...basically waiting for the love luster to die down with running before picking back up with P90x. I still have my pull up bar and do pull ups every other day. It's incredible how quickly you can get strong doing it...

Anyhoot...thanks ladies...sometimes I think we all need that little SLAP in the FACE to wake up and smell the PROTEIN!

I did follow the LOW carb phase 1 and have moved on to phase 2 now (more balanced!) I don't eat as MANY calories as they recommend - afterall - I'm trying to loose weight here. The main reason I bought P90X was to be a better runner. I plan on finishing up P90X and then training for the Half Marathon here in town in May. I figured if I could reduce my body fat and increase my muscle - I could run faster! While I haven't lost weight on the program - I have ran twice in the last 45 days and each time I was about 20sec/mile faster!! Hooray for muscle!

I am soooo close to the 220s, and being this close is the motivation I needed to stay on track over Thanksgiving!

    Have a great week everyone.
