Hi Ladies- I hope you keep posting! Although we are quiet, we are all rooting for you (just look at the number of views on the thread)! Wish we would hear from Mad and I hope she is well. I am lucky; I never had chicken pox so I won't get shingles!

This is my third time posting today but the first two didnt show up.

Pipsicle, if you had the shot for Chicken Pox as a child you are protected against both chicken pox and shingles. If not you can get chicken pox from someone who has shingles .

Everyone in my family had shingles except my daughter in law who had the shot.

Trish, yesterday I got proof that my friend who has been texting with me for a year is who he says he is. I am amazed. He sent a voice message and it is his voice. Unless there is someone else who sounds just like him. That would be too much of a coincidence.

Carol Sue I didn't weigh either. I have no energy. I had to go to oncology for lab and barely made it. We got home and DH gpt a call from TX Oncology telling him to take me to the hospital before 4 pm to have my blood cross matched and then take me Friday morning to have 2 pts transfusion. My hemoglobin was 7. Now I know why I am feeling wiped out.

I still didnt weigh today. Its weigh in day but I think its too late to weigh. I will weigh tomorrow for sure.

Trish, is it unusual for you to need a transfusion? i hope all goes well.

Today I got my hair cut. it is pretty short. Its really too soon to get it cut this short but I wanted to get it highlighted and it was too long to pull it thru the cap. Now I want to keep it dark for a while just for something different. i will take pictures to post so you can see. I like it so much better highlighted. I will.post pictures before and after highlights so you guys can vote. It is really dark. i know people will think I dyed it. Its almost black.

I weighed this morning. A slight drop to 180.8. I will get back to daily weighing, which I prefer.

Trish, I sure hope you are okay. Maybe you are back in the hospital. 🙏🙏🙏Prayers for healing.

Carol Sue I had to have blood transfusion when I did my 1st round of chemo in 23. So not unusual for me. It has taken me longer to bounce back with this one. I think because they gave it very slowly because my feet were swollen. I started feeling better today.

Weight this morning was 162.8 lbs FBG was 129. I figure that is good, but not sure. Tomorrow I go for my CT Scan and go to the infusion room afterwards to have a hydration IV. Things were pretty rough there for a while, but thankful my doctor figured out what was wrong. I was almost ready to give up, but DH wouldn't let me. I'm blessed to have him.

Hope everyone has a good Sunday.

Trish, Im glad to hear you are feeling better.

The elderly woman across the street who had the failed heart valve went back to the hospital yesterday. She passed out so they called an ambulance. After she got to the hospital they diagnosed pneumonia. The day before DH saw her outside with a walker. She was very active and never used a walker before. Ive srtill been using my silver walker in the house. i use it in the living room since thats where. I fell. and i use it down the hall to the bathroom and bedroom but i dont use it in the bathroom, bedroom or kitchen. There are counters or furniture in those rooms that I can hold onto. So far no one has been here to see me using the walker. DH doesnt want anyone to know. Hes strange like that.

Im going to get weighed now. 179.8, down 1 lb from yesterday.

Weight this morning is 165.4 lbs and FBG 134. I guess that is all that hydration fluid. It was so much it took 1 1/2 hrs to get it through IV, but I have to admit that I do feel better. Now to find a way to keep feeling better. I have to make myself eat but can only eat a few bites and I'm through. Nothing we have to do today but tomorrow we go for labs at Primary doctor's office. Busy the next few weeks.

Carol Sue my walker is the only way I can get around safely on my own. I'm so thankful for it.

Have a good day.

Trish, have you actually fallen? I dont recall you saying you have but I remember you having trouble getting in and out od bed without DHs help. Are you able to do your exercise without the walker? I will be curious to see how I exercise without it.

Carol Sue back in 2023 when doing 1st round of chemo, I fell about 3 or 4 times. Since I've been using the walker, I haven't fallen anymore. I haven't gotten back to exercise yet but I do them without the walker. I do exercises that I can do sitting in my chair. I hope to get back to those next week.

Weight 164.4 lbs. FBG 131. Not much happening here. Just glad I don't have to go anywhere the rest of this week. I do need to get some exercise going again today.

Hope you have a good day.
