    Berryblondeboys ~ Ugh...water weight! I can't stand it! I think you made the right choice skipping the scale. I hope you had a great vacation despite the water weight. Don't fret, it'll come right off I'm sure!!

    JacquiD ~ Oh yes, normal is good! Well, unless normal means a messy house and mountains of laundry. You can totally make goal! Come on girl! You got this!! And ya know what, if the scale revolts, it doesn't matter--you have had an great month!!!

    LovelyLeah ~ thanks hun! You are making such a great choice on your wedding!! So much money and stress goes into everything, anything you can do to cut back on the spending and stress is will be worth it in the long run. Besides, the reception is the best part anyway.

    Magistra ~ two pounds?! That's awesome!! Thanks, I am pretty happy that I didn't come back 10 lbs heavier--which was a real possibility...my new brother in law makes some AMAZING guacamole!! Nom, nom, nom!!

    So the scale is being really kind today. It could be because TOM is finally gone, it might be because I didn't drink my usual 4-5 bottles of water yesterday, or it could be that Jupiter is aligned with Mars just so...whatever it is, it's nice to see but I will not be surprised if it jumps back up tomorrow.
    Spent yesterday putzing around the house, went to see a friend for a couple of hours, grilled and ate a very yummy dinner and then went with the same friend and her family for ice cream--yes, ice cream! I was able to resist it while in CA, but decided that I could have a soft serve and be well within my calories. But...when I got there, I realized I had a TON of calories left and went for a small peanut butter cup razzle (it's a Blizzard ). It was heaven in a cup, but man oh man was I full afterwards! Ugh! I can't believe I used to eat LARGE Blizzards and pints of Ben & Jerry's without blinking back in the day! It actually felt good to feel so full (and a little miserable LOL). It reminded me why I started this journey again and why I need to stick to it. However, eating it was a bit freeing. Last time I lost the weight I was so rigid and hardly every strayed off course. It made maintaining so much harder and when I fell off the wagon...I fell hard. So, I need to practice moderation. That will be the last Razzle for a long while and I am back on track this morning and all is well.

    Well ladies, I need to finish my coffee and hit the showers! We need to hit the library and then come home and figure out what to do for dinner. Have a fantastic day and be sure to keep hydrated! It's going to be hot out there!

    Jacqui_D asked how posting every day is working for me -- it's great! It works great when things are going well (I hit a new low for the year earlier in the month).

    Even better, it works great when things aren't going well. My normal pattern when I go off plan is to quit posting for a week or two (or six). I went off the rails for a week or so this month, but I kept posting! Without that, my bad days would have been much worse and it would have taken longer to get back to a 100% On Plan day.

    So, I'm declaring posting every day to be a successful strategy for weight loss and maintenance!

    I made a slight hash of this challenge this month as I changed my plan and weigh-in day a week ago I'll be all set for August, though.

    I think i was at 278 last time I posted... I'm now at 274.5 so 3.5lbs loss. I don't think i'll make that additional 1.5 for this month but I think switching plans confused my body a bit Totally on it for August though. May try recording weight daily like many of you do as well.

    21 Jul (plan change): 276lbs
    28 Jul: 274.5lbs

    My water weight is up a little today, but I'm feeling pretty good! I've lost 5 lbs this month! If this keeps up I'll be down a size before I know it.
  • Well my weigh in with slimming world had me 1lb up. not surprised as my home scales gained as soon as I went onto the anti-biotics but came back down this morning.
    They do have me at 10lb loss in 4 weeks... so that I'm proud of.

    Am not going to do the daily weighing in August, will join you all but weigh weekly on their scales. trying to wean myself off the addiction of daily weighing. lol it won't be easy!

  • Everyone's doing so great! Congrats to those who are losing, and to those who made it to GOAL, and for people who have figured out any obstacles standing in their way to making progress! It's a process and it doesn't come off as easily as it goes on haha!!!

    I'm not going to make it to my goal, but am pleased to lose about 1 lb a week!
