  • Its been a VERY long time since I've posted on here. I've been on AW since 8/30 and have lost 26lbs to date.

I'm VERY pleased with the results and plan to continue through October then start transition during the first week of November.

I just receieved the Zumba body transformation DVD I ordered but my counselor suggested I wait. He says the caloric intake on the diet is so low that the rigorous exercise may make my body go into starvation by burning them up. He suggested I just 'walk' daily.

I am very bloated and crampy this week although my 'friend' hasn't yet arrived. Can't wait to get over that so my actual weight loss can 'shine' through.

There is truly NO other diet that can provide results so fast. I can't believe I'm gone over a month with NO Meats and NO bread or crackers! Just goes to show what I am capable of if I put my mind to it.

I take it one day at a time because when I hear of others who have been on for 2, 3, 4 or 5+ months, its hard for me to imagine!

    Good luck everyone!
  • Hi All- I have been on this diet for awhile and have not posted. I just started my first week of transition. I went from a size 12 to a size 2/4. The last three weeks were VERY slow going, but you can do it. Try all the tricks(ie. miracle noodles, guar gum, peppermint oil, etc.) and sign up for the listserv on the website for AW it is extremely helpful and you can get questions answered almost immediately.
"If I am not for myself, then who will be for me?
  • I go to orientation tomorrow for the Bead Diet. From reading the posts on this thread, I am even more motivated to do this program. And it seems to work for a majority of you. I will post on my weekly progress.
  • HI everyone!! I hope noone minds that I joined this thread! Everyone seems really supportive an sweet & since I started the accubead diet today I figured it was a good group to join. WISH ME LUCK & good luck to everyone! & CONGRATS to everyone doing so well
  • thinivy please keep us updated on your progress with transition. I'm almost there. What is it like? I know everyone's process differs. Do you mind describing the process?

  • thanks lasekou

I'm so excited I started on Monday & as of today I lost 7lbs since then YAY!

    How is everyone else doing?
  • lasekou do you mind if I ask how much did you weigh when you started & how long did it take you to get close to your goal? I was just curious b/c 140-150 is my goal
  • CandyCoatedSymphony I started the diet on 7/26 at 177lbs. As of today I'm 143lbs. I was a slow loser at the beginning but I didn't get discouraged and kept with it as long as I lost 15lbs a month I was good. Then I caught a bug and was on the illness protocol for a week. I didn't lose that week but I also didn't gain either. I probably would be at my goal weight by now if I didn't succumb to the deadly BLT's but oh well what's done is done.
I say all that to say if you follow the program exactly you will lose weight. Also I notice that I tend to lose more inches than pounds . For instance I only lost a pound this week but my jeans that were a little too tight last week are a little roomy this week and probably won't fit by the end of next week.

A lil advice try to never ever BLT. It only ignites cravings
  • thanks lasekou!! Congratulations to you!

& I heard about the BLT's, no worries I always have a sf mint or gum in my mouth & it is tempting, but wanting to be thin is even temptier!! (lol is that even a word?? hahaha)

Today I was having a rough day and still am but I think I'm going to go to bed soon to fight off any temptations. I really want to be atleast 190 by mid Dec and I think I can do it, if I just stick to it 100%, which I will! I have no other choice.

    Thanks again!!
  • I used to go to bed at 9 pm sometimes before then because the cravings were driving me mad. Then I finally got it that the cravings were all in my head. During the day I would stay busy. Even now I stay outta the house as much as I can on milk days. The jello doesn't do it for me.

We can and will do this. It's totally worth it. I like that although I lost weight quickly, I don't look like it. I look healthy and I feel great. I've had to start ironing my clothes in the morning because I never knew what will fit in the morning especially after milk days. Something that might be slightly lose at night would be waaay loose by morning. Never in my life did I ever think I'd have that problem.
  • WOW!!! cool hope i have that problem soon
  • Hi everyone! After reading through this entire thread and listening to the orientation on their website, I am seriously considering this diet plan. However, I'm worried that because I am already under 150 pounds (I'm 145 today), I won't lose weight drastically. I would like to get down to 120-130. I am currently calorie counting, which has helped me lose almost 10 pounds, but I would like to get to my goal ASAP.

    Any thoughts?
  • LillyLover Everybody's weight loss varies so there's no way to predict how yours will be.Accuweight guarantees 15lbs per month if you follow the plan as instructed. I'm not sure how quickly you want to lose but 15lbs a month is quicker than most diets avail and even with those, most people gain the weight back and then some which is not the case with Accuweight. • I started the program on 10/6/10 at 218 lbs. This is only the first week but I am down already to 206. Wow, talk about a motivator!! I hate the dairy days...love the fruit/veggie days...I find the 1lb 1/2 to be alot of veggies..I am eating more veggies now than every before.....I do not feel hungry at all..which I wonderful..
  • Well, the guaranteed 15 lbs in a month will get me to my goal. Placing my order for a starter kit today!! I'm so excited after reading about all the success stories here.
