I am a carb addict to. I have a limit of calories I am supposed to make in a day, but I know if they were all consumed as highly processed sugars and starches I wouldn't lose a thing!
Make sure you eat your proteins, healthy fats, and veggies (I hate salads and raw vegtables to. To bitter!). Stay away from those lean cusines, they are loaded with salt and nasty things..which can cause you to retain water weight. Get rid of them and opt for something better quality.
