  • I'd feel like I was being delibrately set up and worse yet, by someone I loved who knew that it would end up in myself being laughed at and the butt end of a joke for 1000's of people.

    No...I don't think I would be amused either.

    Not everyone likes to be made fun of and while they can probably take a joke as well as the next person (on a one to one basis) its kind of another level when you're involving a lot of other people.

    I guess the bottom line is it's easy for everyone on the outside to say "Oh yeah, it's just a joke, she shouldn't take it personally" but hey...it wasn't you it happened to and in the heat of the moment I don't know that many people who actually LIKE feeling as though they've been mocked and set up...

    She should eventually calm down, but you should be prepared to weather some ice lol.

  • True, but I guess her and I just differ that way. I try not to let things like that bother me. Life is too short. It's no worse than falling down a flight of stairs in front of your co-workers (oops ... done that a few times). She'll get over it, but I agree. I'll be feeling this one for a while! Good thing no one will ever hear it, but it would have been great.
  • UPDATE: I bought her dinner last night. All is well.
