  • Way to go Misti!
  • Misti....i haven't been here in awhile. kind of fell off the wagon this past 2 months....but i am doing great everyone. I am very happy with the 33 pounds i lost and i will get back on the wagon next month when i renew my gym membership. so for the past two months i have just been maintaining...which on it's own is very inspiring to know i won't gain the weight back when i reach my goal.

but back to what i was going to say....Misti....i am so proud of you. you are doing an awesome job. you are totally an inspiration to us all. you keep up the great work. i too have been going thru my closet finding things i haven't worn in 5 years and being amazed that i can fit back into them. my drycleaning bill has definately gone up in the past month. hehehehe.

    keep up the awesome job!!!
  • Hey Lumi, good to see you back here! I have missed you. Glad to hear you have maintained... good for you! Look forward to seeing you back up on the wagon with us though!
  • Heehee..I didn't do as well as you. I gained 4lbs then maintained when I fell off but I still didn't even feel bad about that. Am back on as of 4 days ago and I haven't lost but I don't care. I feel good just knowing I'm back in control. I'm on my period and it is also hard to weigh when I haven't had enough sleep. A full sleep schedule will result in my lowest weight. It's weird but it is TRUE! There has been other posts on here about that. I sorta wish I knew how many calories I was taking in when I was maintaining. I'm not as on low calories as before (1300-1400) (now 1600-1700) and would like to know if my maintence calories were more or less. During maintence I ate less times and maybe even less quanity but I ate JUNK.
  • Congrats! Misti. I know how it feels. Keep up all your great work!
  • Hey Jt, you look really nice in OneDerland! Good job!!!
  • That's awesome!
  • Ha Ha Ha! I remember a story when I lost all the weight, and I was at the Bay (a department store) shopping. I was cluelessly complaining to the saleswoman about nothing fitting me, really irritated.

She said (literally) *ahem*, that's because you're in the wrong section. This is for plus sizes.

Now, there's absolutely nothing wrong with plus sizes in any way. It's just that I was so out of touch with my size I was gobsmacked to be "kicked out" of a section that I'd been shopping in for nearly a decade.

I still laugh about that one...

Anyhow congrats Misti. I know the feeling. : ))

Wow, that's great! Bet THAT put you on Cloud 9 for a while! I can't wait to need to be kicked out of the plus size store but it will be a while unfortunately.
  • Sooner than you think Misti, sooner than you think....
  • One can only hope you are right
  • Misti, it really does happen so fast. Not long ago I was wearing an XL shirt, now the regular larges are getting very loose and I have 2 mediums that my daughter gave me. I no longer wear all my DH's large shirts as the men's large is way too big. I know exactly what you mean about the big boobs. I was a 42DD to start with. My Aunt gave me 6 new 38DD's that she couldn't wear. They were perfect for a while. This past week I went and bought 2 38D's thinking they would fit. They are too big in the cup. I think I need a 36C now. These are the first underwires I have bought since high school and they sure hold them boobies up high. LOL. I think I wore a C cup in 4th grade and now I'm back to it. LOL
  • That is true, Lilybelle... it doesn't seem like that long at all since I was so thrilled to have lost 25 pounds and now I am getting really close to 50! (48). And as for the boobies... LOL my first GOAL is to get into a DD cup, eventually hoping for a C. I was the opposite of you though... flat as a board until I was about 18 but then wow, look out!! Late bloomer but when they bloomed they bloomed. I have already gone down four band sizes though except I can't buy a bra because to get the band size small enough the cups are too small... so I am back to having to sew up the sides. You would think clothing manufacturers would "get it" that we are not all the same size. I always get frustrated when I hear the "saying" that most women wear the wrong size bra. Well DUH don't they think we KNOW that; that is all they MAKE so we have to do the best we can!
  • I started pretty much at your weight Misti (a bit less but I'm also an inch shorter), and once you're on a roll it kind of sticks. The really tough part is over, now you get to enjoy this for awhile. We'll chat again when you get to maintenence but for now--enjoy all your victories. There will be lots. : )) You'll be at goal before you know it, literally.
  • Misti -- You are doing just awesome -- fun to watch your progress!

I am starting to fit into "non plus" sizes... I can fit in to 16W which seems to translate into 18 regular. Though at that size the pickings are "slim"

And I've gone down a cup size ... at least it's getting easier to buy bras!

JtJoray -- Can't wait to join you in Onederland! Hopefully soon for me!!!
