WOW--- so many of you are seeing such GREAT loses. I'm SOOO proud of you!!! My last weigh in was last THursday.... after my 4.5 loss the week before.. yeah..........ummmm... had a .5 gain. grrrrrrrrrrr to me. But YEA to you guys!! We shall see what THIS Thursday brings. sigh. Guess it's time to give myself a bit of a talking to
Still having problems with my heel. I know I need to break down and go to the doctor but I have no idea when I'm going to be able to. Today I was at work at 8 am and left at 7 pm and I doubt that's going to change for awhile. But if I can't be on my feet all day once I need to, yikes. Dont' know what I'll do.... wish I knew someone who's had a heel spur; would love to know if that's what this might be ( I know.. I know.. THAT'S why I should go to the doctor
)COuple of quickie notes:
Valerie --- you mentioned music on your computer.. have you discovered pandora.com?? I LOVE this music option because you can totally customize it. I put in an artist I like and it plays that artist every few songs, and lots of other similar artists. It's awesome. I have tons of "stations" for any mood I'm in.
Sharon.... yeah, you're right on the "be careful not to overdo the gardening" advise... The backs of my legs are really sore! Think that's my body's way of telling me I need to work out more often so I don't get so sore doing stuff like that. sigh.
Zelma --- I'm floored by that other teacher's behavior. SHEEEESH.... sounds like adolescent behavior, not adult behavior. Seriously, I'm just amazed that she's being such a child about it all.... starting trouble, denying, lying. Craziness.
As far as the tulip goes... I don't have a lot of personal experience with tulips as Ive not grown them BUT... I do know that you can put them in the ground OR leave it in the pot. and leaving it in the pot seems like less work to me. Once it's done blooming and the flower dies, just cut it down to the dirt and cover it up dirt or grass clippings or something. You can store it right in the container over the winter (garage, shed, anywhere dark and cool/cold). In the spring, just bring it out and you SHOULD have a new tulip before too long. Just keep it watered in the spring just as if it were in the ground. If you do decide to put it in the ground, the ideal time to plant it, I think, is in the fall. Just cut it down, and plant the bulb 6-8 deep and you should see a tulip grow in the spring. Of course, there are tons of varieties and some may be different (and, of course, I'm talking about fall that we have---dont really know how to adjust for Australia
Wyllenn -- tenure??? Tha'ts HUGE! Congratulations!!!!!!!!! Way to go!!
Ammi --- try the enciladas without making them Mexican or spicy if you want. You can do any kind of stuffing and any kind of sauce, I would imagine. FOr me, the spicier the better!
(I put hot sauce on almost everything it seems lol I'm afraid I've killed my taste buds so much that now I HAVE to use tobasco or redhot on everything)
! Flady -- I'm so proud of you with your walking! I'm so sorry you experienced such a rude boy while doing so (what are parents THINKING to not say anything) but I'm glad you could shake it off and not let it stop you. Every step is a great step! Way to go
Hi to everyone --- hope all is well in your corners of the world!
Mel

if a white fish would be safer for you?
or I'd love to chatter at you all! Here's to a great tomorrow!

It does feel great to only be 2 lbs away from where I was last time when I gave up dieting last November. Onwards and downwards I say
well done on getting tenure from your college. I am glad you celebrated and didn't go mad on the food!
keep up the good work
But I just had to say
