Nelie, SusanB, Ilene, 2F, rabbit, Pat, Mel, everyone I've missed - good going! You can do this!
I know I have to do more cardio to melt down some of this fat. I do it at the gymn three days a week: interval training on the rowing machine, on the treadmill and 45 mins of elliptical/staircase climbing machine/bike.
Now I'm adding two more sessions. I could do them at midday (would get the circulation going and blow away the cobwebs for the afternoon). I could do them in the afternoon (can't think of any good reason here because it's a pretty busy time for me). But I'm
actually going to do them in the morning. That's because I can just drop off the Boy at school for 0830 and just keep on walking. I don't have to think. It sets me up for the day. I'm in a much better mood. It depresses my appetite all day. So that's what I've done today: 55 mins of brisk walking.
Now I have to move a wheelbarrow to another place (don't ask: it's a wood thing

) and do a bit of work. Rabbit - I'm a writer and researcher. Mostly socio-economic stuff, which is a pretty big field so it keeps me from getting bored. Sometimes I do big pieces of research and sometimes I just edit things. At the moment I'm editing a booklet into friendly, straightforward English for part of the health service. It's Full of Self Important Capitals. And Jargon. They've got to go, for a start.
Thank you for your good wishes about the bruises. They are mostly a good greeny-yallery colour now. I went to the gymn yesterday and had a humdinger of a session. I got back on the horse - 30 mins on that particular treadmill! Take that, poltroon!
