  • When I first started to eat better and work out I was doing the whole 8 glasses of water a day... Well a couple days after doing that my hands started to cramp up and I would get headaches. I went to the doctor cause that totally freaked me out and he said that the amount of water that a person needs is individaul and will be different from one person to another. I was drinking so much water that the potasium levels in my body were litterally being washed to nothing. His advice was, always have water with you and drink it slowly... You don't want to get to a point where you're thirsty.. but you shouldnt be drinking it if you're forcing it down. Once I stopped forcing the 8 glasses of water down the cramping and headaches went away. Bottom line = Listen to your body. And that's my two cents.
  • I have a hard time taking in a full 8 glasses of water a day. It wasn't so hard during the summer of course. I tried to hit 10 glasses once, and got dizzy and nauseated. Now I take in 6-8 glasses a day, depending on my activity. You're right. Don't force it and your body will tell you what you need.

I do the urine test, and even on days when I only get 6 glasses, it's clear and almost colourless.
