    Good Afternoon Everyone!!

    Food Yesterday: Breakfast - Nestle Inn Egg (egg, flour, laughing cow, turkey pepperoni, veggies)
    Snack - 1/4 C peanut butter, 4 Wheat Crackers, Banana
    Lunch - Salad w Turk Pep and Annie's
    Snack - 20 Salt and Vinegar Chips
    Dinner - Part of Chile Con Carne (veggies, ground chicken, beans) and 1/8 Cup Cauliflower, 1/2 Cup Cottage Cheese, 1/2 Cup Strawberries
    Got nauseous and scarfed down this additional stuff 12 Pretzels, 8 Saltines and a cup of Ginger Ale
    Calories - 1523, Fat - 50
    Still stayed under my daily calorie allowance though!

    Exercise: 40 min. Cardio Salsa, 30 min. of lower body, arms and stretching.

    I love the name Adpitan!! The Hot and Sexy Challenge gets my vote - how about you Kara, Beth and Chick? Once we pick a name, what do you say to starting a new thread with the name at the top so we can attract more Hot and Sexy gals to join ?

    Good going on your food yesterday Adpitan!! Your list is making my stomach growl and I just ate lunch!! I'm thinking I am going to aim even lower! Now that I'm watching the calories each day and not getting too hungry, I think I can handle less. We'll see... maybe I'll go for between 1300 - 1800, 1800 being my very top. Which tanita scale did you get? That $40 one or the $200 one?? That looks really cool - don't think I can afford the reeeeally cool one though. :/

    Well Beth... I actually don't know Maryland very well, because I'm new to the area - so you're right, I don't know St. Mary's county . My parent's live in Lothian - is that near you?

  • eesabella, your foods and cals look great. Are you drinking regular ginger ale or diet ginger ale?

    I still haven't made it to the gym but it's not as if I am sitting around doing nothing. I am actually walking around campus in SF which is not flat by any stretch of the imagination. I walk up stairs every day and usually have a backpack that weighs about 20 lbs, so I get some working out in. Yeah, yeah I know I'm stretching it.


    I'll post my food at the end of my day. Right now I have more chemistry to study.
  • Ooh! Good call on the diet ginger ale!! It was regular! I felt so sick, I didn't get specific, "Get pretzels, saltines and ginger ale!" Would have saved about 130 calories had I done that. Well, you live and learn!!

    Your walking around DEFINITLY counts as exercise. My daily exercise looks good for today, but aside from about 30-60 min. worth of cleaning every day... during the cold months I don't do much aside from rolling out of bed, rolling in front of my computer! My boyfriend doesn't work out at all - but he leaves the house for work. AND he smokes - it kills me after I bust my but and I'm more out of breath when we go for a hike or bike ride. Grrrr... occupational un-hazard

    Exercise: Christmas Shopping!!! 3+ hours of walking! (I know, I know - does it count?... but I usually don't leave my couch, so yes it does!! )

    Congratulations on your weight loss so far Kara!! That's amazing! How have you lost it so far? I would say one of my strengths is actually working out... and I've been known to literally drag people out of bed to get them to do it with me My weaknesses are sugar, chocolate, my mom's house (her cooking, her fridge, her "you know you don't have to completely eliminate certain foods" - which I tend to translate to mean I can have EVERYTHING IN SIGHT)... also binge eating in front of the TV.

    I love your idea of posting what you're doing every day Adpitan - that is one of the reasons why I wrote to you guys! I think the structure could be really good!

    I am definitely interested in a threesome for WL buddies. I will have to check out the journal area on here.

    To answer your question. I lost the first 50 pounds by counting calories & walking a lot. I really cut back on the food & stepped up the exercise.

    The rest of the weight I lost when my husband and I split up. I was pretty upset and found that the only solice was hitting the gym. Plus I was devestated so I didn't eat that much. I know, I know. Not healthy!

    No exercise today but I did eat very well. I'm trying to incorporate more fruits/veggies back into my diet.
  • HI everyone! Sorry I fell off the face of the forum. I got overwhelmed by the stress of a big chem test and did not have much time to chat or eat well

    Anyways, tomorrow (Monday, 11/28) is the start of a new week for working out and eating.

    I have not forgotten you all, I just got buried. Forgive me? I also have finals in about 3 weeks so I will probably fade away in 2 weeks and then come right back around 12/14.

    My goals for this week are to lose 3.5 lbs and to do cardio 3 times this week and to eat cleanly all week.

    I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving and is ready to rock and roll our challenge.

    BTW I see everyone has been doing extremely well, congrats and keep up the good work.

    Hi Kara and Adpitan! Are you two around!? So I ate REALLY poorly one day and sat down to report it - when I saw that no one else had written (not at all meaning to place the blame elsewhere), I thought, hey, I'm off the hook

    Anyway, I hope you two still want to buddy up - I definitly do!! I haven't been eating that great or that bad - I checked my weight at my parent's house over Thanksgiving and I am still at 160 - at least I haven't gained!!

    My goal for this week is to report what I ate/exercise every day - good or bad! I'm gonna look around for another group or two to join as well... I think it would be good to be accountable in a few different places.

    I'm going to start filling in what I've eaten for today so I have something to post tomorrow!

  • Okay, here it is! My shameful day yesterday!

    Food: Breakfast - Steel Cut Oatmeal, Raisins, Flaxseed, Wheat Germ and Turkey Bacon
    Lunch - Slim Fast SF and Apple
    Snack - Laughin Cow, 1.5 Kavli Thin and Pomegranate
    Dinner - Venison, Spinach, Biscuits, Smart Balance
    Snack - Soy Slender SF, Apple, 2 Cups Milk, Nesquik SF

    Calories: 2013, Fat: 61

    Exercise: 15 minutes - Stretching and shadow boxing.

    It could be worse, I could have had a lunch instead of slim fast. Slim fast totally goes against my desire to not eat fake stuff (as does the nesquik). I have no explanation for that - they are sugar free - so more fake stuff!!
