uggh! ). Lots of picking up what they drag out, over and over all day. Lots of chasing them (in fun and in seriousness
). I pace around them while helping them do homework, etc. I sweep sometimes 3 times a day bc of the food dropped when they all eat. (If I don't, it gets stomped into the carpet in the next room!
) I get up fairly early and go to bed later than I'd like. If I can't go out and walk outside, I walk in place while I watch TV or watch them play. I walk around my kitchen table while I'm folding.. fold, stack, grab, fold, stack.. while I go round and round. I'm sure it looks funny.. but I'm moving for an hour there at a time, then I walk at least an hour while watching TV at night.. and maybe another half hour during the day watching TV. I dance to my radio while they play. I jog thru my house in a circle at night when they are asleep.. I start in the office, jog thru the toyroom (after it's picked up of course or I'd be dead now from falling on toys
), thru the foyer, thru the living room, through the dining room, thru the kitchen, back thru the office. On the mornings like Friday, Sat and Sun, when my husband is here.. I leave at 7am to take the two girls to school, then I go to the park and walk at least 45 mins to 2 hours to start the day. Then it all starts over!
I've never had a "job" that was so active in my whole life!! If I can just keep high fat foods outta my mouth, I'll hit my goal just outta doing what I have to do and a little bit more.
I log my steps on AOM (Americaonthemove.org). Started that in Feb. Did about 10,000 steps a day for the first two weeks, then went up to 15,000 steps a day for the last two weeks, trying to rev up my metabolism more. When I had a desk job, I couldn't have gotten in as many miles. But when I did manage a dual-physician office a few years ago, I stayed in the office for lunch, ate a can of soup and water, and walked 1.5 miles up and down the hallways. LOL. (Lost 30 lbs. that way for my high school reunion, but after the reunion was a blast, yep, gained it all back and more.. it sucks) So now since I kept having to walk an extra hour at night to hit my 15K a day, I am doing 12,000+ miles a day for the first two weeks this month. I'll see how that feels.
I think you have to get creative nowadays to get any physical activity in! It's sorta sad, we all wanted things to be easier, hence the creation of the automatic washing machine, cars, dishwashers, etc. But what has that done? It's made it where we have more time to do things that aren't as active. And we are paying for it now. Ah well, things'll change.

Keep it up!!
Congrats on loosing the pound! That is great!
