  • Jane;Loved the pics. How cute are those kids! Your Molly is very sweet to.So much snow. I love to look at it but am glad I don't have to deal with it on a daily bases. Thanks for the peak into your home. Pam :sman:
  • Jane--What great photos!! Thanks for sharing those with us here! I'm going to attempt to post some photos....let's see if I can get them. These were taken at my grandpa's house on Christmas Eve. I have more, but a lot of them turned out blurry...such a disappointment. (remember how I need to take a photography class?? )

    James & Grandpa

    Jhanai in her new Jammies!

Jhanai & my Brother Tony (the one from Florida)

    Jhanai tearing open a present

My brother w/his kids and my stepmom off to the side.
  • Marti, these are just great! Absolutely love the enthusiasm on Jhanai's face.

Come on, everybody, share yours too, ok?
  • Mother Nature is quite an artist!
Here are some photos of the ice on the trees this morning...

Mary's house is the big 2 story one.... we are the small one in back of hers:

Another view of Mary's front yard.

Our house is to the right of the dark tree, sort of in the lower right hand corner... it's about 100 feet from Mary's enclosed back porch.
  • WoW!!! Look at all that snow!! It's so pretty! I love how snow makes everything looks so beautiful. If I didn't have to go to work.....it would be perfectly fine for it to snow here in Oregon!

Our snow days usually come at the end of January into February......w/everyone having snow around the states...I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen here too.

    Ok.....whose next with sharing pictures?
  • Jane and Marti those are great pics! Didn't recognize James with the beard/goatee. Looks like you guys were having a great time Christmas Eve Marti. Jane, your house or should I say Mary's house is almost identical to the old house we moved from-how weird. It was a 125 year-old farmhouse. Anyway...love it! And all the snow...you guys truly had your own winter wonderland. The trees are really pretty also.

  • Oh Christmas is over
    And Santa's gone home
    Mrs Claus sure is happy
    She hates being alone
    She baked him a turkey
    With stuffing and corn
    His last meal was pancakes
    On Christmas Eve Morn
    They sure did look happy
    So round and content
As they rocked in their chairs
    Many hours they spent
    The fire was crackling
    The flames sparkled so bright
    Till next year Merry Christmas
And to all a good night
  • :sman: Ellen, the poem is very sweet as is the pic. How thought full of you to have gone to so much trouble as to find and send us so many lovely pic,ect for the season. Very festive. Jane, the snow is so beautiful. It takes your breath away. As they are the closest I'll get to a white X-mas I want to say thanks for the view. Marti, what a great family and your little girl is a sweetie.Cristi, your way ahead of me. I usually put all the X-mas decorations away while watching the Rose-parade. Couple years ago I bought a high tec X-mas tree. Fiber-optic. It's easy to put up and take down. I've always gone in for fake trees. I felt to guilty when we had a real tree. I hated that this beautiful thing was dying just so I could put orniments on it. I guess I'm a "treehugger".
  • Ellen~such a nice poem and pic! More...more...

Pam~I switched over to an artificial tree about 13 years ago. I love the smell of a fresh real tree but don't care for the mess. But that's not the main reason I switched. I did take the tree down early this year, earlier than I have in the past few years. DH is home for the week and we have some painting to do so thought we would get all the Christmas stuff put away. I have left it up till New Years tho. Last year I got lazy and left it up a little past New Years.
  • Ellen~the pics of your house are nice! I like what you did with the garland, lights and deer-it looks nice! As does your house, looks so cozy and I love the porch. Maybe post the link to your pics here so everyone can see without going back to the other thread. I had to look for them-couldn;t remember where they were.

  • Christmas in Connecticut
    Hey Guys,

How do you make a photo smaller so you can post it? The one I am trying to post is too large.

    Love,
    carree
  • Cristi I forgot to post the angel wings that my son bought for me they are on each column and on the railing , go back for a look , and don't look at the light switch I was changing it that day and took the picture without thinking about it.
  • Ellen~the kitties are adorable! And love the wings and pink tree. Your pink tree is definitely A LOT prettier than my plain ol' pink tree was. Didn't even notice the light switch...

Carree~I don't know how to resize a pic to put here, always use yahoo. But maybe pm Marti or Jane, one of them can help ya.
