I'm sitting here waiting for my son to call ,he had to take my kitty Snookie to the emergency hospital ,she wasn't feeling well today so we took her to the vet, they did a geriatric checkup because of her age and some bloodwork which we were waiting for the results and they sent her home , but tonight she took a turn for the worse , I feel such a pain in my heart right now I don't think she is going to be alright. I lost my Nisa her sister to cancer last year and I am not prepared for this .I have no one to talk to right now so I'm here pouring my heart and eyes out . I feel so sad ,I don't know what I will do if I get the call they can't save her. My pets are my family they mean so much to us, they go through everything we do and they are always there to comfort us. Sorry for this depressing conversation ,I guess I will go and wait for my son to come home. maybe you could say a little prayer for her and me.

I'm happy to say that I stayed OP yesterday. It really wasn't bad at all - I had my points planned, and had a small amount of several "good" things. Once again, portion control saved the day, lol. I only pray I can do as well at Christmas.

The DDs and I are going to Evansville for shopping later. I need a few more things for Katie, and am just going to have "fun time" with the DDs.

Hello ladies…..how are you all doing?

nothing really new on this end...since I was on here earlier. we, well I, stocked up on HPT's. I got two three packs. One is the Clear Blue digital, and the other was a First Repsonse. Like I said, both are three packs, so I have plenty on hand. Plus I have some ones left from friends of mine that sent me some.

Brandon is now sitting up by himself. We just saw a preview of how is going to be on Christmas morning. Aunt Anna gave him an old apartment guide that she picked up for herself, and he enjoyed ripping the pages out of it one by one, except for this page that had a dog on it!

We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. We did on this end! Brandon loved it!! He has some mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, a little piece of turkey, and some cranberry sauce. After the bite of turkey, I think the triptophan kicked in, because he was sounds asleep and snoring for a good period of time.

Jane~ That is awesome!! We are planning on using the next check for our rent for last month, gotta love having my sister as a landlord. Then the one after that will be spent on Christmas shopping and what not. Tommy is thinking of pulling out our Christmas tree on Sunday and putting it up! I can’t wait to see Brandon’s reaction!

Ellen~ I couldn’t agree more! The true meaning of the season is that family is together. Tommy was feeling really bad though because with it being his first “out of the womb” Christmas, that he wouldn’t get anything from us.

We also figured out that we are going to go to his aunt and uncle’s house on Christmas eve and then to my sister’s house on Christmas day.

Oh Ellen, I would say most of us on here can relate to how you feel about your pets.
Pets are a wonderful family members, I love my Skittles and can't imagine if shes not around.

Jane, you should be proud of yourself! I know that when I was on BFL I made sure that my free day was on that day so I could eat whatever I wanted. I didn't have turkey yesterday,,,I had toasted BBQ beef with monteray jack from Subway.
Brandon wanted a field trip so we went and did his banking, got him a sub, then to Wallys,,,he got a motorized scooter and cruised the isles. After a 1/2 hour of that we went home and he took a 1/2 hour nap. Wore him out. I stopped and got ELF and we watched that,,,omg I love that show! His face alone cracks me up...lol
The show went well last night, 3 more to go....*yawn its long...
I had blood work done on Wed. got a call yesterday to come in,,,so in a few minutes I have to head out and see if theres anything wrong. I don't like calls like, that.
Kathy, and Ellen, do either of you watch Corner Gas? We watch it on occassion,,,Monte and Brandon make a point of seeing it...we bought Monte the first season's dvd for Christmas. That show is hilarous

oh ya,,,I finally bought a new vehicle. Santa Fe. My van is on its last wheel. Had some weird noises so haivng it checked they told me my cams and a belt need to be replaced...it being the cams,,,the engine is close to going so...after spending too much money on it,,,and refusing to spend more we thought we would look around, found a 2004 Santa Fe a great price and they will trade in with the van. Didn't get the color I wanted since it was the last 2004. Beige,,,,or Sand is what they call it,,,its beige...lol

Angie--Jhanai & I went and seen ELF when it came out. Such a cute and funny movie. We may buy it......I love buying all the holiday movies. I'm going to be starting to watch some here soon! Glad to hear that Brandon was about to scoot along the aisles at Walmart!

Jane--Are you going to tackle the crowds for after thanksgiving sales?? I'm going here as soon as I get ready. I'm not doing the early bird and get beat up by all the people shopping...just the "stroll in during the afternoon" crowd! Plus, I'm only staying in my town so that leaves me only Two stores to go to!

Cristi--I think I will be taking a couple days of decorating too. Trying to get it all done in one day just adds stress. And who needs that this time of year? We have enough of it already.

Yesterday was a relaxing day! James didn't get home from work until noon so he went to bed. For a few hours Jhanai has a little cold and she went back to bed and took a two hour nap! So I was busy in the kitchen or sitting on the couch going through the ads for Christmas shopping! I truly enjoyed the day. And I hope you all did too.

I need to get to town......must do some shopping before I go to work tonight.

I was watching tv late last night and saw all the commercials for sales on the after Thanksgiving holiday...I wanna go shopping at Bon too!
Are the sales really that good? We had a new Ikea open up a couple of weeks ago and it was insane, some lady slept outside the doors for like 3 days,,,she won 5 grand for being the first person in the store,,,they gave away 100 dressers to the first 1000 people in there,,,
My Dr was ok, told me I am healthy but for my iron,,,which is at 15, he thought by now it should be alot higher. I am around 7 most times and thats with high iron supps.

Mindee - our Caylin, 13 mos., has already got in trouble for trying to take the decorations off Mary's tree, lol. The bottom 1/4th of the tree is all goobered up, but the top 3/4ths looks real nice, lol. Glad you have made your Christmas plans.

Angie - whew! Glad your doctor's visit wasn't anything scary. YAY for your new Santa Fe! I don't have a clue what they look like, but I'm very happy for you anyway. I've never seen Elf - must rent it soon.

Marti - we didn't shop with the early birds, since Katie had to babysit for DSs kids, and we waited for her to get back. But we still got everything on sale. Most of it was 40 or 50% off! The crowds were awful, though, and I said I won't do that again, lol. I'm the type who mall shops on Monday or Tuesday mornings, lol, practically by myself. People did seem to be in a good mood, though, and fairly polite.

Susan - awww, thanks for sharing your email from your sweetie pie. Glad the xdh approves of Rocky, since that will make it easier all around. What does he think about the girls visiting Hawaii, if you end up there?

I lost the water weight (as of last Monday) and today I'm down 2 1/2 more! Makes me feel good.....

Katie and I went to see Christmas with the Kranks. We went on the spur of the moment to the 9:20 PM showing, lol. It has had lukewarm reviews, but we wanted to judge it for ourselves. IMHO, although it isn't going to win any awards, it was still cute and worth the price of admission. Marti, the Tim Allen character even makes a reference to fish tacos!! Jamie Lee Curtis shows herself in a bikini that she wears to tan in, and I applaud her for that. I thought it was worth watching, and might even buy it when it's available for purchase, since there was lots of laughs and I love Christmas movies.

Jane, yay on the water weight being gone.... Im not sure if I could do the crowds for even that good of sales. I just cringe at the thought of lots of people pushing and shoving. I get so annoyed when people stop in the middle of the isle and chit chat with someone they haven't seen in awhile....Go to a coffee Shop! grrrr

Last day for our show...Thank Gawd! Im exhausted! Last nights show went well...lots of people in the audience that I knew were there.
Was approached by the producer of this theatre company...he asked me my opinion on the building we are in...told him it was a horror working in. And if he has another place it has to be better,,,and once he told me about the brand new place I was pretty excited. Then he dropped the bomb that he would like me to stay with the company exclusive. I sounded like such a Diva...when I told him that I only work with certain directors...lol

Hello ladies--

I got to come home at midnight last night! (although I stayed up until 3:30 watching a movie) And James was here when I got home.....and he took two lay off days so we can spend the weekend together! Perfect!!

Got up around 8:00.....James felt sick. And after sitting for a little talking to make sure he was ok (he feels much better) we went back to bed! I was too tired to be up that early.

Angie--I've been meaning to ask you something for awhile now and just now remembered! I was watching the food network channel and it was about candies and stuff....they mentioned this candy called "Chicken Bones" A cinnamon candy w/chocolate inside. They said it was a Canadian candy....have you tried it? Is it any good? It really appealed to me for some reason. So I thought I would ask you what they were like.

Susan--Ahhh.....such a sweet sweet letter to each other!! You two are made for each other. So happy for you. And I'm very happy to hear that your ex approves of Rocky....makes it so much easier! And he may feel more comfortable knowing the girls will be with you for the holidays and stuff.

Jane--Well I have to say that I didn't even bother going shopping yesterday. The sales they have were for early birds and I was definately not an early bird and also....most of the sales are for both Friday and Saturday so once I drag James out of bed....we'll be going today. I will have to watch the movie now that I got a persons opinion on it! I love holiday movies and music!! Been listening to a station that plays only Christmas songs in my car!!

I love Christmas shopping up in Portland....if only they got rid of all the traffic!!

Neal and I are going to meet his brother Paul for breakfast before he leaves to go back to Louisiana this morning. I'm hoping Denny's will make an egg white omelet for me - if not, I'll have cereal and toast.

We got all of the Christmas decorations up, except for the tree. Neal's going to put it together and then have the twins come over to hand ornaments to Katie and me to hang up. Oh yeah, still have to put the red bows on the porch spindles. It rained and was cold all day yesterday, so I didn't get that done.

First off Ellen, very sorry to hear about your kitty. Right now my two pups are my babies and when I they get sick I have a natural instinct to take them to a doc just as if they were children, When you dont have kids, they beomce your joy. Somedays I cant wait to come home and see them waiting in the door for me, they depend on us so much!!!

JANE: Congrats on the loss!! I finally got the nerve to get on the scale this morning for the first time in 3 weeks, to see the damage!! Im back at 194lbs, but not for long...I went to the store last night and bought yogurt, rice cakes, granola and some other good stuff...Im also going to start taking my energy supplement again for an extra boost to start back hard with my workouts again...I dont want to put myself back where I started!!!

I took out some of my xmas decor this weekend, and started putting it up, maybe do the tree next weekend, we'll see!!! Ive been trying to go through the cellar, closets and drawers to gather old treasures for the Salvation Army, I like to make a donation before xmas!! Well, Im heading out to Walmart to start a bit of xmas shopping, and then Im gonna workout and decorate the front yard a bit!! Have a nice day, will check back later
