Well..first day was pretty much as expected..although they didn't exactly tell the truth about the amount of assistance these folks are gonna need. We have seven people living at the home I'll be at for now, and only ONE can actually get herself dressed showered toileted etc. Sigh. I'm pretty tired. Food was great today actually.
I'm a bit nervous because one womanmade a joke about how this isn't agood job to have when you;re dieting..something about gaining thirty six pounds in a year...YIKES!

Today was busy at work and I feel pooped!

I want to watch Dr. Phil from today so I will post more tomorrow. I have to go in early for a couple days this week to make up for leaving for the funeral last Friday so it's beddy bye early for me.

Is Jen on her way to the US? I hate it when she doesn't at least say "hi"..makes me worry again.

Today was the pits, I had a dentist appointment at 11:15 and he finished a little after 1:30. Filled two teeth that were really deep and bad (so he said) anyway I wasn't able to eat lunch so during the afternoon I drank a can of boost. Feeling pretty good about myself until I got home from work and all I could think of was how hungry I was, and how I needed something soft. Yep you guessed it! Right out to the garage and the freezer I went, and now there are only 9 pints of ice cream to temp me.

DH has calmed down about the thing yesterday, except he is really hurt, and he says he will never let himself be put in that position again. And by that he means that he will never go over to my mothers when she has "everyone" over. Hopefully he'll get over this, but who knows?

I didn't walk this morning, but I did go and do my water aerobics. It was a good morning, just started falling apart at 11:00!

Thin: I got so far at taking some pictures of a couple of the outfits I want to put on ebay, but that's as far as I've gotten. I'll keep you posted!.

Okay - I had this awesome post that I typed up this afternoon while all the kids were sleeping - took me FOREVER. And what happens?! My stupid isp boots me off the internet and I LOST the whole darn thing! I was sooooooo pissed!

Anyway, I have to come and vent for just a few minutes, my hubby, as much as I love him, can be such a BUTT HEAD!!!!! This afternoon I put one of the babies in our extra room where dh keeps his art stuff. After she left I didn't have time to take down the porta crib, I had to run to town and help mom mow lawn & run errands etc. Anyway, I come home (just a little while ago) and go downstairs to sit in my chair and what do you think is on top of my chair, but the porta crib. AND to top it off, he throws all the dirty towels from the bathroom right in front of my chair. I tell you, I am soooooooo furious with him right now I could just scream.

How much of his crap do I put away? How many meals do I make for him? You all know the drill . . . would it have been so hard to just fold up the crib and get it out of the way?! God forbid it be in his way for just a little while!

Okay, now that I got that off my chest, I can lighten things up a little (I think, I'm still pretty mad though). I lost 6 1/2 pounds this week and I'm pretty excited about that! That brings the total to about 17 pounds - yee haw!

I'm taking my girls and going camping this weekend and am really looking forward to that. Only down side is that it's maybe supposed to but, I've camped in the rain before .

I better scoot. Sorry that I dumped on y'all, but I had to let it out or I would have exploded!

Like I said, I had written an individual reply to everyone when my stupid isp kicked me off. No time for that now, gotta get my boy in a tubby and in bed.

Hello everyone! The day went pretty much as expected. I had the me on one shoulder and the me on the other. Most of the day the me won out. There were some really difficult conversations between the two of them I want you to know! I was able to stay away from Tim Hortons and Krispy Kreme. And I didn't do any "drive byes" at Micky D's.

I made #1 Son and I two eggs over easy on 2 slices of bread. That and water held me for the day. My downfall was going to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. They really don't have a good fish dinner except for Salmon (not crazy for Salmon) so I did order the ribs. Ate my salad with very little dressing. 2 rolls. And of course, the boys were with us so we had to have an onion. I tried not to eat too much of that. Also left half the ribs and half of my potato. I know it's not the best and I am outside of my WW points for the day, but I'm chaulking it up to better than I have been eatting and the week has just begun.

Made a trip to the fruit market and now I'm "loaded" for anything that comes my way. I bought lettuce, apples, oranges, bananas, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and a green pepper and container of grape tomatoes. Oops, and a jicama (I have a great slaw type recipe from RainForest Cafe that I want to try and duplicate). I hadn't been to the fruit market in so long I almost didn't know what to do with myself!

2cute: I think I did buy the same WW scale you did. The glass one that was $49.99 at Linens and Things? It was funny that you posted to lift and drop because I had already figured it out. "Tap here", yeah, like THAT worked!!!! We were stomping on it and it still didn't turn on!

BarbPA: You must be going crazy this week trying to get ready for vacation, working AND taking care of sickies. Especially after a "company" weekend. Get some good sleep, sweety. You want to save all your energy for VEGAS, baby!!!!

Barbg: The picture taking and all the prep work is the biggest time consumer when you're trying to do eBay, don't ya think. I played for a long time with each picture, making sure that it was light enough to be able to see details. What a pain!

Lisa: I hate when the posting gremlins eat your post. So nerve racking! Glad you came back to fill us in on your day. Sorry DH (this is where the "D" can stand for sooooo many things ) did that to you. Seems like they could be more considerate sometimes, don't ya think? I bet you and your girls will have a blast out by yourselves this weekend. How do YOU camp? Tent, RV, trailer?

Lucky: Sorry you're having to make up the funeral time. You'd think you could get a couple of bereavement days off. I liked the bit about your dad trying to steal the hymnal. Gotta love 'em. I took my mom out one day after plugging a new phone in right next to dad's chair in the living room so that he wouldn't have to get up and run to the kitchen to answer it. When we got home, the phone was gone. Dad and I went round and round about where the phone was, did someone come to visit while we were gone, he didn't put it anywhere, etc. Anyway, baffled, I started looking for it. Found it in his nightstand by the bed with the whole 30 foot cord wrapped neatly around it. But hey, HE didn't do anything with it!!! Just gotta roll with the punches, I guess.

Melissa: Sounds like you're going to have your hands full on this new job. Are you still doing work for MCA??? Anne won't return my calls and doesn't contact me by e-mail anymore. Totally NO communication. I'm half tempted to call the home office and see if there isn't another way to obtain jobs. She's the pitts!

Katrina: Your day was just far too busy to even comment on! My Gosh, woman!!!! You have more energy than I could ever dream to have in one day! Get some sleep!

Hi ladies!

I've just about had enough stress for a few days between issues with mom, getting the horse home, is the horse okay?, cleaning house for guests, visits with the guests, being aggravated at family, when will my bonus check come because DH's job ends on Wed for the summer, dog with dirrahea and to top it off last night.....tornadoes in the area.

I did finally get my bonus check yesterday and its on its way to the bank this morning. I can breathe a sigh of relief on that one.

The dog is at the vets. I got mad at DH yesterday because he didn't want to put Bear in the van and take him with dirreahea. He got the point I think when I slammed down the phone when he was arguing about it. Poor Bear is a sick puppy. We'll know more this morning. It is possibly something he got either out walking & sniffing other dog's poop or something he picked up when we boarded him (at a new place to us) when we went to Spring Fling. His intestines are a mess. Can you say, KER-ching?

I got my nails and a pedicure done last night. That is so fun and relaxing. Pretty toes.

Last night during dinner, the weather guys kept breaking in to regular shows for weather updates because the storms were "PDS - potentially dangerous storms". He kept going on and on about something that might develop but would never say that there were tornadoes on the ground 60 miles west of the city. So, when the storms finally hit the city area, he was no where to be found and regular TV was on. DH was sound asleep in bed and I was watching Oprah, when I heard something and then all of a sudden the emergency signal came on TV. I lept out of bed and yelled at DH which scared the crap out of him. I thought I could hear a train (none close). I ran down the hall yelling "train". Absolutely freaked out. It was the tornado sirens from the next town over and the tornado was on the ground just a few miles south of us. I absolutely weird out when there are nighttime storms that are potentially tornadic. Especially if they have produced tornadoes. I have been terrified of them ever since I was a kid. There was no sleeping until it had calmed down. It took me a while to recover!

I watched Dr Phil while waiting to die by tornado. Wow, they gave away some really great stuff. I did notice there were a couple of people missing. It is amazing what they accomplished. You know what? We can accomplish that too. Nobody is going to give us $50,000 or a recording contract like they got but we can have that joy of success too!!

I hope that today is a much calmer day. If so, we'll be headed over to the boat to check on it and hopefully enjoy a nice evening.

Morning, ladies! Well, the $hit hit the fan this morning. I got on the scale. In all honesty, I'm not soooo terribly disappointed. I know that probably will sound very weird to some of you, but that's how I feel. I was 341 on my last "official" weigh in at WW on March 8th. I was 346.7 this morning. Of course, the "official" WI (not Wisconsin) included clothes, and this morning did not, but even so.

I may be looking at this all wrong, but I actually feel better that I don't have the same 20 pounds to lose again, that it's only the same 5. Does that make sense. Well, regardless of whether it does or doesn't, it's my "healthy" way of looking at it otherwise I would be really depressed. This spurs me on.

Anyway, enough about me.

Terri: What an awful night you had!!! [[[hugs]]] I know you guys get alot more storms by you than we do, but doesn't it seem like this year is much worse? We never have rain, winds and flooding like we're seeing these past couple of weeks. They were just showing twin tornadoes in Albany, MO. Are those the ones that were by you? I hope for all of us that this weather stops right quick.

On sorta the same note: Do any of you watch Good Morning America? There was a guy on this morning, being interviewed by Diane Sawyer via satelite, from Clinton Twp, MI. He got washed away in the flood yesterday and clung to a No Parking sign until he was rescued. He is 77 years old. Anyway, he is my niece's grandfather-in-law. Quite a character, I hear.

Terri, so sorry you had such a scare. I actually like storms. I HATE wind but rain, thunder, lightening are okay.

I thought some of the people on Dr. Phil got "less" than others. I realize Jim would get more - a lot more I would say - than the rest, but some seemed to have gotten less. I just thought they would keep each one pretty equal in value. Maybe I just don't know how much some of that stuff costs.

Thin: As I posted on the Dr. Phil thread I need accountablity too for exercise. I am still thinking about it. All the excuses...

Hi gang!

Just watched American Idol. I didn't think either one was that good. I would guess that America votes for Diana. Fantasia is the better talent but her song choice didn't scream pop idol.

Lucky - I thought the gifts were very uneven on Dr. Phil. One gal got $50,000???? Even if someone else paid donated the money; it still was unequal. Kimberly didn't look all that happy with her new deck. I was a bit disappointed that three people were left off the finale as if they were losers. Angela lost 88 pounds and it wasn't "good" enough because she hadn't done things according to Dr. Phil's approval.

I have decided that I am not going back to WW. After reading Dr.P, I no longer feel afraid of failing if I no longer go and I no longer feel that I have to have their recognition of my success. It really came about after reading about the internal weight locus of control and getting into the mindset that it will happen because of my efforts, my plans, and my determination. And paying an external entity to weigh in and validate doesn't seem necessary anymore. We will still use the plan as a guide to controlling calories and portions as well as menu planning.

Thin - Good for you for getting on the scale and facing it. Congrats on it not being a 20 pound gain and yes, it all made sense. You bet we can be your accountability. That's what having this support group is all about. This spring has been so windy and so much rain, we have only been on the boat twice - and more rain coming this week. The Albany tornadoes are about an 1-1/2 hours north of us.

Lucky - Have you explored why you have such a hard time exercising? Do you hate it? Trying to do too much and get overwhelmed? Are you doing stuff you don't enjoy? Daily plans and seeing results has helped me stick with it and not totally quit.

Anyone see 28 Days Later? We're trying to watch it on HBO. Bizarre!

Well Terri for the first time we disagree on the American Idol winner.
I love Diana but I don't think she should win. I feel Fantasia should be the big winner. I actually am making my decision from the whole season. I was disappointed in tonights show by both. Neither impressed me like last years Ruben and Clay. Of course last year I felt Clay was the best overall singer and Ruben won... so I guess that means Diana will win this year. I guess I need to go vote so I can't complain.
Actually last year I loved both... this year I don't really care that much. I felt the whole year was a flop... and I was one of their number 1 fan. I hope next year they require constestants to be at least 18 years old. I think kids have nothing better to do but sit and call and vote for other kids... whether they are good or not. It was ridiculous how some of those bad contestants stayed while better singers were voted off. I can't handle another year like this year. I still think Latoya should have been in the top 3 at least. She was just a little "too" confident.

Well ladies... my house is a HUGE MESS again.
I got it clean for the company on Sunday... but then Monday we started unloading the three cars full of decorations, gifts, flowers, food, etc, etc. It is from one end of my kitchen and dining room to the other. The gifts in the dining room... the MESS in the kitchen. I am sorry to say I have been eating left over wedding cake. But I am throwing away all leftovers tonight.

I still have this week to finish up loose ends from the wedding.
I took back plates and posts from the cake. I got the reception paid for. I developed a couple hundread photos. I got them put into a book but not decorated like a scrap book yet. I don't know how long that will take.
Hopefully I can have the majority of everything DONE by Friday.
But... Sunday Staci will come home from their honeymoon and it will start again.
They went to Hawaii and say it is beautiful !!!! They are in Maui. I have always wanted to go to Hawaii when younger. That was my goal for weight loss. I haven't made it YET... but there is still time.

Okay... gotta go. Sorry I only talk wedding .. but that kind of has taken over my life right now. LOL Soon I will be back to normal. Hmmm... normal... what's that ??

Hi Everyone!
Argh....I really was hoping for time to post personal messages tonight, but it's too late. I just got home from a wonderful dinner with 2 girlfriends....one I haven't seen in nearly 2 years. We went to Champp's and stayed for over 3 hours gabbing. Luckily it wasn't overly crowded so we didn't feel bad keeping a table. It was great.

Unfortunately during dinner we started getting a horrible thunderstorm. I had to drive 45 minutes home in it ---- my poor dogs had been cooped up way too long because DH had to go to NYC tonight and I knew they would be scared of the thunder. They were certainly happy to see me. Guess I'll have some company in bed tonight.

I am looking forward to a somewhat peaceful night sleep without Jeff's coughing. He is feeling a little better today. I am, however, starting to feel like I am catching whatever he had....starting as a sore throat. Noooooooooooo!!!! I took some extra vitamins and some cold meds. I am hoping to fight it off.

Nothing is ready for the trip...the next couple days will be busy. Thank goodness tomorrow is a work at home day so I can get some laundry and whatnot done! And hopefully have a few more minutes here.

Good morning!

Is today WI Wednesday? TOM is outta here for the month and the scale is back to a pleasing number. I'm thinking about going to Bed Bath & Beyond for a new digital scale. My scale weighs lighter than the WW scale and isn't digital so I don't always see small losses. Then the other side of me is saying, you've got a scale already, just go with what you've got and spend the money on something else.

Is it me or has the website gotten unbearably slow to load? I have "high-speed" cable and have to sit here and wait for the pages to load. Very frustrating and irritating.

2Cute - We agree on who has the real talent. I just think that people won't vote for Fantasia. I also agree how its just not been a good season and I'm losing interest. Don't forget to get some exercise in along with all that wedding stuff!

Lisa - Have fun camping!

I better get my rear-end moving. I've done my general conditioning workout this morning. Last night I walked hard for 25 minutes. Sure feels weird without my dog. I hope my baby comes home today. Seriously, this is going to cost a small fortune so I really want him home!

I challenge everyone today to find 15 minutes for extra activity that is intentional exercise! We won't ever get there if we don't start making this a top priority. No whining about being too busy!

Terri, I actually love exercising - I just can't get started. I do think I try to do too much - like 2 hours a day and I don't have that much time in one chunk so then I opt for doing nothing. Also, with fibro come chronic fatigue - but then I think I just use that as an excuse.

I am really thinking on this this week.

Better get to work...
