You might want to look into that desire to drink. It's really hard to lose weight when drinking alcohol. Beer in particular contains maltose, which has a glycemic index of 105 (on a scale of 100!)

Ah....but it tastes SOOO good on a hot day. (and yes, coming from a long line of alcoholics I'm careful to watch how much and my desire for it).
