Hellooooooooooooo everyone!!! Can't believe Monday came around so fast ... hope everyone had a cool weekend, and if you went over points, well, put it behind you and start again. I had a good one, lots of wandering round the city and looking in second hand bookstores. I am trying to find books by the author I'm writing my thesis on because nothing of hers is in print and all the ones I have are library photocopies, but I keep getting sidetracked by other stuff. I love old books, they smell so good. And even better if they have notes written in them. Anyway, all the walking was good, the weather is really hotting up (31 celsius yesterday which must be way over 70F) and I went to see State and Main, which was fab. I loved it! OF course, really I'm just waiting for Bridget Jones to open, but ... Oh! And I ran 25mins yesterday morning. YIPPEE!!
Ali - bummer about the roomie, but sounds like you have found a better alternative. I guess sometimes these things are meant to be (though I agree it was weird of her just to disappear...),
Kirsty - it HAS to be Milk Tray. Roses and Quality Street make me think a) of my grandparents and b) of the huge tins we used to keep scissors and stuff in at Junior School (don't ask me why, they were always chocolate tins ... what does that tell you about teachers?!). And YAY! on the running ... I just sent you an e-mail ... I entered the raceforlife as well so now we really have to do it
Sarah - there are loads on online running programs if you want one - runnersworld.com is one, and they have loads of links with stacks of info for beginners (if you're still looking for things to do today!...)
Lola - good luck for WI. How long have you been maintaining? Between you, Ali, and Stacey you keep me going, it's so good to see people who started where I did and have made it all the way!
Shalyne - glad you and blokey had the talk. Communication is the key!
Tonya - here's hoping you get sunshine today!
Lisa - WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats on the 10%! And you know, I haven't drunk nearly as much since starting WW and I don't miss it at all. I def don't miss the hangovers! Glad you had such a cool weekend on diet cokes!
Stacey - what competition events? Horses? Cars? Did you hear all the sports stuff in England got cancelled because of foot and mouth?
Brenda - yup, I did WW at 14, with my dad. I wish I'd kept my card, because I can't even remember how much I weighed when I started or how much I lost. I know I went from 21? to 19? but apart from that ... My Dad was really into it but he went about it all the wrong way, he would skip meals all day then pig out at night. I took Slimfast to school for lunch for 3 years! No wonder I ended up like I did ...
Emily - YIPPEE! on the loan, it must be so exciting to be able to do all the stuff you wanted to do.
Lori - YAY! 1lb down!
Belle - glad the move was good. Sounds like you have a dead supportive family. Look at you now - in your own place, skinny butt (!), lovely bloke ...
KIM! Welcome back! We missed you, but I'm glad you had a rippy-skippy time in Florida. Did you see any alligators?
Hugs to everyone I've missed and take care,
love
Lolly
