  • glad to see you bella.. no matter how stressed. and barb.. great news [sort of! ] about mom.. it sounds like she's in great hands.

as for amy.. well. yes, eating is very uncomfortable for the first month or a little more. yogurt made me sick for quite awhile. i''ve only just started eating it again, and keeping it to under 18 grams of carbs per container. that's working ok.

as for fear of chunky foods... that's why she has to chew everything to the consistency of oatmeal. and that does mean everything. as for the seeds in the strawberries.. or any other rough food. it's too much for her right now. she's still healing and all that stuff is just too hard for her system.

it'll get better... just a little more time.
  • hi all

just had to share going on my 3rd week and had my first soup with soft noodles and for lunch had a half pack of grits
i can't tell ya'll how good that was
my family was having rib eyes and cajun potatoes
early on they worried about their eating in front of me and i had to force them to b/c i made them understand that this is going to be the norm. i was wondering if anyone else feels this way since surgery when they are cooking their meals just the smell fills me up and satifies any hunger. i hope that it will not leave 10lbs on the hips like the old days lol.
    check ya'll out later
  • Well guys and gals, I had a good, over all, weekend. I got a call from my husband and he assured me that he was NOT mad at me and that I need to lighten up, lol. (I do that a lot when he is home, I tend to take everything to heart) I didn't get a chance to talk to him about the surgery but I wrote him a good letter telling him about the operation and why I wanted to have it and why I wanted his support and approval. (i'm going to do it even if he doesn't support or approve!) Then Home Depot. came out to my house to see if they could help me with some of the home repairs that need to be done (that I can't do my self or afford). It's a program they are offering to the families of deployed soldiers. So hopefully I'll get info on wether they can or can't help me, by the end of the week.

The only stressfull things about the weekend is this HORRIBLE cold I have and that I got a letter from my school saying that I owe them over $1200.00! I almost passed out! But I takled to the school today and they said that my loan just hadn't come in and that I realy don't owe them that money. My loan is here and will be credited by the end of the week. So that was a BIG weight off my shoulder.

So the only thing I have to do is to crack my cold and I'll be good to go. I have to call hershey to see if I can get into an earlier session with the counceling service. I have to do that before my first appointment with the doc. I can't wait!!!

Well that is all for me. I'm just trying to kill time before my next class.

    I'll check in later,
