Ultimate goal is 118-119. So not far to go, just getting harder
I'm going to try intermittent fasting and really watching what I'm eating
A friend of mine has been doing that for about 5-6 months and has lost about 25 lbs. good luck everyone!

  • Good Luck to everyone this month! I started off my morning with a chicken biscuit from Chik-fil-a. I haven't had much sleep the past two nights. Unfortunately the heavy food is making me so sleepy at work! I normally skip breakfast, but I guess I will skip dinner instead today.

    Total Loss for Week One:
  • Good day everyone - I'm in again. 5lbs is my goal.

Left my old country and went home for a couple of weeks and then to this country and I have to admit I was surprised when I bought a scale that I only gained back a couple of pounds. With all the eating I thought for sure it would be higher.

Unfortunately I have been back to day drinking on the beach. I'll have to stop that. And we have been going to see live music at least twice a week and that's not a good thing. Too much eating and drinking going on. And it's cheaper to eat out instead of cooking so that's not good. I will have to curb my habits.

Also I dropped off the 5:2 wagon. New month = back to basics and good habits.

    SW: 150 lbs
    GW: 145 lbs

Good luck everyone and congrats to those who lost last month.

  • Jayden: Welcome to 3FC!

ange82much: Hopefully you're right that you've officially set in that new weight and will see losses again from here!

kelijpa: Hoping to do better this month...lol. And, welcome back!

kfunk: I bet that water weight will start flushing out in no time...it's crazy how much bloat our bodies can hold onto so quickly. Hopefully, it will settle back out quickly, as well!

And, to everyone else...Happy May, good to see you again, and good luck all around!

    -----------------------------------------

Weigh-in was 183.2 today, which is down a little from yesterday but not quite back down to where I was over a week ago. However, I was expecting a little bit of a gain today, because I've decided - yet again - to do my weigh-ins and start my eating window an hour earlier in the day again, which usually shows a couple days of adjustments on the scale...so, I'm happy to still see a bit of a loss. I've tried this in the past but always end up going back, because we stay up so late that I get too hungry at the end of the day to close my window earlier...but, my husband is able to come home at lunch now, and so it will line up better with his time at home, and maybe it will just force me to go to bed earlier like I know I should be doing anyway, lol. It's also an extra hour in the day to get more water in, so every little bit there will help too, I think. We'll see how it goes over the next couple of days while I adjust my schedule, but I want to stick with it this time, regardless.

    Whoosh this morning
This is exciting because today for the first time i'm in the same kg as my target! i.e. my target is 56kg and this morning I weighed in at 56.7kg. This thing is getting done! I'm also in the quick/change range for clothes, so every 8lb is another size, which means the stuff I can/can't wear seems to be changing on a weekly basis! Happy days. Keep sticking to your guns everyone - it's so worth it to feel this good!
  • My goal now is to stay on plan for the rest of the week. My new work frequently has leftover food from meetings - my weakness is free food. Yesterday I ate a plate of mac and cheese.

  • Wow, this thread is hopping, I love it!!!

Ophelia I hope that you hit your goal this month! I am excited for you to see people that you haven’t seen in years, they are going to be so surprised by your transformation! I have read that your cycles have been messed up lately and that may account for the 3 lb. drop last month. 3 lbs. is still amazing!!! I hope that changing your eating window helps you!

Nicoley I love your willingness to change things up on the fly, how did skipping dinner go? I hope that you were able to get more sleep last night. Ugh, free food is the worst.

Ange holy whoosh, that is awesome!! It is really exciting that you are thinking about your maintenance plan!

Wanttochange That is awesome that you only gained a couple of pounds while on your trip. I hope you are able to curb some of your habits with relative ease. I too am focusing on getting back to basics this month!

Kelijpa these challenges really help me as well! Nice loss!

Bubbajan, pandacupcake, yangtzer, jayden, gardenerjoy, slimmerme, lunkah, good luck, I hope you all have a great month!!!

I am back to tracking everything in my WW app. instead of tallying things up in my head.
I have a HUGE problem with going off plan for special occasions. I end up binging and eating EVERYTHING, and I have a couple events coming up so I need to figure out a way to stop that and quick!

  • So glad to see so many people in this thread. Let's hope we all go the right direction this month!

Well, back up today, though still barely in the new decade. The truth is that I am not at all surprised. Had a big meal, fried shrimp plus fries. I knew it would wreak havoc on my progress so I can't be mad when I knew I was doing it to myself. Back on track today and hope to see some of it off tomorrow.

  • ange82much: Nice whoosh...you're doing great!

nicoley73: Best of luck with your goal this week...I know you can stay on-plan!

kfunk: Thank you, and same to you...I hope this is a successful month for all of us! And, I'm really excited to see everyone, too! Most of them didn't see me at my highest weight, so it won't be quite as big of a transformation, but it will still be about an 60-80lb difference to the majority of them...lol. There's even a family reunion going on while we'll be there, so I may even get to see some extended family I haven't seen since I was a teenager!

momtopands: I'm glad you managed to stay under the decade line...that's always a nice silver lining in the face of a gain. I'm sure you'll be able to flush out the water retention from your meal soon!

SnowMama: I am very much looking forward to when our pools open here...it will be in just a couple weeks! I am so ready -- well, except for that whole being in a bathing suit in pubic part. I'll get over it, though! I hope you're able to get some swimming in this weekend, as planned!

Tesni and Slimmer me: Good job starting out the fresh month with some losses!

    -----------------------------------------

Weigh-in was 182.4 today, so I'm finally back to my low from a week and a half ago! Hopefully, I can break free from this most recent loop and move down from here. On the personal front, I've had some partial numbness in my lower left leg and foot since Sunday night. (Not numb enough to mimic how a limb feels when it "falls asleep", but about half that.) I'm hoping it's just a pinched nerve that will sort itself out soon, but I wrote the doctor's office about it to see what they think. Until I hear back from them, I think I'm going to start doing some yoga again in the mornings to help stretch things back out...especially since I haven't been walking much since it started, because it starts to feel really weird after walking for more than just a couple minutes. That and yoga has always made me feel great in the past, so why not? I'll probably also focus more on the elliptical again in the evenings until I can get that all figured out.
