Good morning, Linda and Chicks to follow. It's just starting to get bright here and looks like a decent day ahead. We seem to be getting rain but it's at night so leaf raking may need to be postponed again. Yesterday was wet and cold and I did have to be at the Mill to sell flour most of the morning. We are now completely out of flour!
Since it was an inside day, I started to knit again. There is The Red Scarf Project happening here and I am hoping to get a 6' scarf ready for it by the end of November. I've not knit anything for about ten years when I made 52 pair of mittens over the winter but I guess you never forget a skill like that. I also made a fabulous chili con carne to freeze for cozy fall day meals.
Today will bring some desk work and perhaps some sewing. I have two pair of pants to shorten and also a blouse that's just 1/2 " too long and shows beneath my suit jacket unless I tuck it in. I hate when that happens!
My cousin Lisa is coming over with some of her dog's birthday cake. Lisa is nuts! She made the cake out of liver with cream cheese icing. I'll see if I can post a picture. Angus is the dog who stayed here last winter when they went on a cruise. She also did a pinata - and I thought I was a dog nut!
Time for another coffee and then spiff up the kitchen a bit. Enjoy this last Sunday of the month. Time change next weekend.

I am on my last cup for the morning. DH is making breakfast today so I am relaxing for a few. Today is a yard work day for us. Lots to do including plant garlic and cut down dead plants. Tonight I'm trying a pumpkin chicken casserole I've been eyeing. I've got a gluten-free pumpkin swirl bar recipe lined up too. It's that time of year - apples and pumpkin all the time
It's a heat the house while roasting pumpkins kind of day
