  • Quote: I have another to add. I have lost a considerable amount of weight from the time my work crush quit to the time that he came back to work. It's stupid but when he came up to tell me how good I looked...it was just great to be acknowledged by someone who I didn't feel noticed me at all.
Did you float away from the high of that experience? How awesome!

Quote: active this is so awesome. I can't imagine, you are so fabulous and an inspiration. I am trying really hard to lower my cholesterol right now. I'm not on any meds and I don't want to have to be so I'm avoiding saturated fat as much as possible. Hopefully that helps. (along with hopefully some fat loss).

No NSV's for me but ... I have NSG's (non scale goals). Lower my Cholesterol and Triglicerides. I'll find out in April or March if I've been successful. Somehow that works better at detering me from indulging in doritos. when its about the weight loss I always find a way to make it work into my "calories" and then its a slippery slope.
NSV/NSG...they all count! Good luck with making your (lab) goal. In fact, I think I may come up with a few NSGs for myself.
  • I just spent three days shopping. I wandered the plus size store for an hour and nothing felt good or fit nicely. I went over to the department stores and found fabulous things in their plus sections.

I haven't been able to shop at more than one store in the last decade, so moving "down" to plus departments at the department stores is huge for me!
  • That is so bad *** n_n

Congrats to every one with their NSV's!

I guess mine would be, that I've been dieting for 6 days now (almost a week) and I have not been tempted, and have kept away from soda. (my weakness) It's crazy how addicting that stuff is.
  • RadioJane I know what you mean. I only recently have been able to shop in other than one store. I am so excited that I can buy cloths at Target, JCP, and Costco. My friend keeps laughuing at me and reminding me how excited I was when I had finally lost enough weight to wear Spanxs
  • Another NSV. I went to the store today and everything that fit me was a 1X. The last time I wore that size was about 4 or 5 presidents ago! I still can't believe it.

  • I'm a little slow... Last night I noticed that I no longer have the desire to eat while watching movies. I was always a big popcorn/movie eater, especially at home.
  • activeadventurer ~ THAT IS AWESOME NEWS!!!

    So happy for you!!
  • I'm having a NSV as we speak. lol So I'm at the car dealership getting my oil changed and I walk into their break room to have a seat. I just now looked up from my phone and noticed that all of the chairs have arms. I don't feel anything stabbing me in my sides so I look down (thinking I'm in a chair without arms) and I'm not!!!!!!!!!

Take that chairs with arms! lol

Last week I was soooooo stressed as I had to fly on Southwest and aside from having 17 inch seats, its open seating! I did fit and was able to buckle my seatbeat, but I had to keep my arms folded in front on me in order to not encroach on the next seat. I think my next goal will be sit in their seats with my arms at my side. lol
  • Dreamgyrl!
I especially love that you just sat in the chair without noticing the arms.
  • Girl, you should have seen my face when the realization hit me. lol It was literally an expression of "WTF?"
  • I love this thread!
Congrats to all for their NSV. I am going to start paying attention to these as well. Yesterday I had a big mexican lunch at a restaurant- sopapillas included. It was soooo good. Instead of throwing away the whole day, I skipped dinner and didn't gain.
  • Dreamygrl That is fantastic! I still do a happy dance when I can fit in a chair!
  • Going along with the chair theme, today I asked for a booth at a restaurant. It was not until I was seated that I realized I had not done that whole stressed out and embarrassed thing about whether or not I could fit in the booth. Awesome!!!!!
