Thank you, Deltawifey. It's so good to hear from another sleever. I do expect a slower weight loss with the sleeve compared to the bypass, and plan to join a wl group here when the time comes. Like you said, there is no malabsorption with the sleeve, and getting the nutrients from the food I eat is important to me. Also, I really, really like the idea of leaving my intestines intact. I haven't been approved yet, but my paperwork will be sent off for approval in about 3 weeks. I'll be biting my nails until I hear back, lol. Sorry you can't attend the WW meetings. Have you jumped in the WW group here? It's awesome! Good luck with your continued weight loss.

I got the phone call today - I'm APPROVED for the vertical sleeve gastrectomy!!
The next step is a visit to the surgeon on Monday, Dec. 30, and a surgery date will be assigned then. Eep! I'm so excited!
