  • Hi, Lass. I am new around here, too, but just wanted to add that I, too, have found the greatest success with making small, gradual changes starting out. This makes it easier to stick with the changes and eventually you and your body begin to crave the healthier changes rather than rebelling against them. I, too, am addicted to diet soda - my caffeinated beverage of choice is Dr. Pepper 10 - which is an improvement over my former addiction to regular Dr. Pepper (in fact, now I can't stand the taste of regular Dr. Pepper, something I would have NEVER guessed possible) but not ideal. So now I am aiming every day to drink more water and less soda until eventually, I will hopefully be drinking little to no soda and mostly water.

Baby steps! Every little bit helps.
  • Had a few bad days last week because of migraines and gained. Also, period about to start. Now, I'm back to 319.6. I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to menopause.

I'm still limiting Pepsi & trying to cut back & eat more fruit & veggies. An orange a day is a nice treat. Need to do more.
  • Hello Lass,

I also had set back am back to 323.4 i did not write in my food journal for 2 days I blame it on that. I do not think i was eating more than a 1000 calories those days which is also not good. I need to do better. Hang in there we will get there one pound at a time.

    Mary
  • Thank you Mary, I needed that support. Feeling down over weight just comes naturally after 49 years. Yes, one pound at a time, we'll get there.

Lass you hit the nail on the head for me... I say that every time TOM comes around... I am just sick of it... LOL
  • LOL, Pam, I'm glad I'm not the only one!
