Wow! All sounds like my own story. Hi! I have just joined looking for a support group on my journey to weight loss in PCOS. I too gained sudden huge weight when my Periods started. From being underweight at the age of 13, within 2 months of my periods, I became 20 kilo over weight. Have been struggling ever since for weight loss. twice in past 10 years I became under 155 lbs. But it all came back the moment I fell ill. Falling sick works like a curse to me. At the first place I am not able to eat or exercise and thenn on top of it I gain 2-3 lbs per day.
I tried Metformin and Glucophage for a year but it did not work. So now I have stopped taking it.
From past 1 month when my weight went up to its maximum ever : 200 lbs, I and my husband decided we will go on a no oil and low carb diet. From 20th Feb'13, we are on this diet and today I checked my weight in the morning and it was 191 lbs. Apart from diet I am doing Sun Salutations(Yoga) 15 times in the morning. 20 mins of walk and 30-45 min of stationary cycling. Till now sounds like working but nothing works for too long.. I am hoping this may.
