These. I was this friend. Even now, I have to kick myself in the behind a few times when I look at people's trackers and see that they "only" have 50 pounds to lose. It's easy to be self centric when you think nobody gets you, and it's easy to be sensitive to things that people do when they really mean no harm. My guess? (and it is just a guess) She never felt comfortable discussing food with you before you said you were dieting because she was aware you were overweight and didn't want to be hurtful. So in a roundabout, bumbling way, she may have been trying to be nice.
