I agree that I wouldn't worry about it. You're most likely goinh to be on your feet for those 12 hours in the middle of the night which you aren't use to - you're going to burn off a lot of extra calories / energy anyways. just watch your portion size if you're that worried!
I have vowed not to calorie count on Thanskgving. it'll be my first break since I started dieting so I'm fretting over letting go for a day, so I know how it feels to just be thinking about it for day's until it happens - I need to take my own advice!
I'd also say just eat what's there and maybe bring something small that's healthier but just remember that it's a long, all night shift and you'll need lots of energy. Sucks that you have to work though, good luck!
Sorry you have to work those hours. This whole black Friday thing has gotten SOOO out of control.
I really don't understand the point of having employees work such long hours on these kind of days. Like, I understand having to work, that's cool. And I even understand them opening at midnight. But why do I need to be there for TWELVE HOURS? What's wrong with working a normal 6-8 hour shift? And the thing is, all of the employees have to work. I don't think there's enough room in the store for us all; I know there isn't in my department. I really just don't understand this concept of having everybody work obnoxiously long hours. What's the point?
I guess they think you guys can control the mobs of people better with a heavier presence of employees to say "HEY stop trampling people"??
