  • For me, change comes so gradually. It has taken me years for most of the following habits to really become habits (the exercise one is the most recent):

    1) exercise at least 1 hour per day, 6 days a week
    2) eat veggies & fruits every day
    3) Only drink water, coffee, tea, and occasionally wine (I gave up soda more than 20 years ago).
    4) mainly eat whole grains, brown rice (rather than white), etc.

Kandyrews, I wish I could accomplish #3. I do SO much better on my calorie counting when I don't snack. I try not to snack, and for a time, I'm successful, but then I slip up. Maybe in another few years, I'll nail down that habit!

    - TV; I used to watch it each night.

    - veggies and lots of it!
    - water consumption
    - committed walking 1000 miles this year, outdoors.
    - better bed time routine. I am in bed by 9:30 each night.
    - more sex
