I don't care for Lush's technical-textbook-boring lists but I do list Kiwi's. LOL at what you accomplished there.

I think I have ecxema. What should I do about it? It's red around my scalp and not itchy but flakey. I went to the health food store and he tried to sell me $86 worth of stuff to detoxify me. I didn't buy it but I did think it was a good idea so I took his list to another health food store and got the stuff for $56.

I still want to know what a SANDWICH-MAKER is and how Sugar broke hers.

It looks kind of like a waffle iron but you put bread in it with cheese or whatever inside and it toasts it and cuts it into neat, tidy triangles. If you want to get really fancy, you brown some little breakfast sausages and then put pancake batter in the machine with a sausage in each triangle and it makes the cutest little turnover thingies. I learned this from the Friendly Freezer mailing list which you should all join because there are only 200 e-mails a day and I know you have nothing else to do.

The old sandwich maker wasn't heating up properly any more and had a big chunk out of it from the time I dropped it on the floor. 'Nuff said? It was just unsightly so I splurged and spent $11.99 on the new one.

I have just awful ecxema (is that how you spell that?) on my hands right now, but mine is read and itchy and scaly and downright ugly. Comes and goes. Peachy, what you have could also be psoriasis, which is treated differently from ecxema. Have you had your hair coloured lately or started using a new shampoo?

Well, I don't know -- they do at every one I go to. But they were so grateful for a cheerful face that we forgave them for making me cook They had been to the funeral of a friend's 24-yr-old son who had been living in NYC and had come home for the weekend and shot himself in the middle of the night Isn't that horrifying?

Then I got distracted and put way too much tomato in the chili, but everybody claimed they loved it anyway. And these are my cleanie dietitian friend and her workaholic dh. I often wonder how they can stand to come to our house, but maybe a little (lot) dirt is refreshing once in a while. They brought their adorable dog, who rooted around everywhile trying to flush out a cat, but never found one (although once he did find something crunchy over in a corner -- I don't want to know what that was...). She did find Molly's old basket of dog toys and enjoyed several of them. We are going to dog sit for her in a few weeks.

Thanks -- in fact I didn't apologize -- I have to obsess about it beforehand or I wouldn't do anything at all. I always forget that my friends seem to put up with me in spite of my slackness.

What an interesting list, Peaches. Have you been using some new kind of shampoo or other product?? That sounds like a skin sensitivity to me.

Hey have you seen that they are advertising some new crustless peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in the frozen section? They look kind of like they were made with one of Sugar's sandwich makers.

I like your new slogan, Sugar. Those pancakes sound yummy!! I don't have a sandwich maker, because the only kind I have ever seen used were castiron ones that you put in a campfire, not the electric kind. I do have something that is supposed to go in the microwave that is kind of like a sandwich maker, but I've only used it for a single hamburger. I should see if it would make pancakes like that. That sounds really good, and DH bought some breakfast sausages to fry up tomorrow (he thinks he is losing weight because he doesn't eat his lunch out anymore....hmm ...I don't think so...)

welllllllll---on the subject of scaly skin,you fat alligators,i must confess to this----dh called my feet---SCRATCHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well,i do have terrible callousssssss on my heels and what not,but HOW INSULTING!!!!!!----i have begun a regime of pumice,foot cream and so on-----talk about feeling like an old hag--i got the hair cut and coloured and the eyebrows waxed yesterday-----this hanging around FREEZING to death in seven feet of snow does NOTHING for the glamour quotient------LUSH----have they found any of those teenagers who capsized off of City Island a short time ago---that was a TERRIBLE story!!!! i want a grill like the Plum's------ i have a lovely Belgian Waffle Maker that has a nonstick coating and makes big FAT waffles-------yummmmmmmmmm gaufres!!!!!!

Could be -- I never rub in conditioner; I just sort of distribute it along the hair and then rinse it out. I don't suppose it belongs on your scalp. Hope you have solved the problem. We wouldn't want you to get a reputation for rosy forehead.

Instead of my DVD workout today, I dug out an old Jane Fonda aerobics tape. Good god it was awful. I mean just the hairstyles (circa 1986) were enough to give you cramps.

My older sis and a good friend stopped by yesterday evening to shoot the breeze. I just love my friends. It makes me so happy when they stop by.

DS gets exczema, Peaches. He never ever had a problem with anything like it until he started painting cars, using chemicals & paints, etc. The Dr. said it caused him to have a immune system reaction and now he has to very careful around any kind of paint. He has a prescription cream that he uses that really works, so maybe you need to go to your Doc and see if they can give you a prescription. I'll find out what it's called if you would like.

Hey Bagzie, I have rough and tough feet too. In the summer I actually spend money on pedicures, but in the winter it seems kind of spendthrifty. Although I suppose I should get one every couple of months just to keep up my feminine illusion.

Wabby spelled exczema right! I think. I have the same kind of thing as your ds Wabby - contact dermatitis, only on my hands. Get it from detergent, household cleaners, nickel and latex.

Friendly Freezer is at Yahoo. Sometimes I just can't keep up and have to delete all those fabulous (fatty!) recipes.

My feet are scratchy too, just imagine that. And no matter what FlyLady says, they get scratchy when I wear shoes!!

Must go to bed. You all can stay up and have a great time without me. I made chicken stuffed cannelloni for dinner and I won't be handing out the recipe (made it up myself) because it was yucky. So there.
