Just finished The Outlander by Gil Adamson - light easy read, and now I'm into James Rollins Sandstorm - very Indiana Jones-ish, but likeable characters.
I highly recommend Diana Gabaldon as an author - she is my favorite!
Can't wait to read the final book by Jean Auel (i forget the name of it), Ayla is my all time favorite character in all of literature!

Ugh, hated the last Jean Auel book. It was an awful lot of repetitive description and it really didn't seem to GO anywhere (and I got so tired of all the tedious long winded introductions every 5 pages). I slogged through it, because of how much I loved the first book.

My biggest disappointment was no mentiuon of the Clan or resolution for Ayla's son, Durc. I know it's probably more realistic that she would have had to give him up and never see him again, but I was still hoping for closure!

Ready Player One - an absolute must for an 80s fan, double must for any 80 video game geek

The Magician King - liked it EVEN BETTER than the first book, and the ending was magnificent

I am reading The Help, and Jane Eyre. I started with Jane Eyre, but with the writing style I know it is going to take me awhile to finish, so I started on the The Help as well.

I also recommend Sarah's Key, although I can't remember the author's name. It's about a polish girl who was rounded up in the **** sweeps. Poignant. Don't read if you are bothered by the injustices the Jewish people were subjected to in that time - it can be very upsetting.

I finished reading The Help a few days ago. I absolutely loved it... well, maybe not the ending. I felt the ending was too abrupt. I actually kept clicking the 'next page' button on my Kindle expecting more but that was it for the story.

I'm reading Jurassic Park. I always wanted to. I'm about 1/3 of the way done and it focuses more on the science-y part of it but I like it. It gives the movie more depth.

I loved "The Help" -- I haven't seen the movie yet, but I definitely want to!

Just finished "The Time Machine" by H.G. Wells for a book club. I liked it (never read it before) and it was a quick read.

I'm almost done with "The Dirty Life" -- it's an autobiography about a woman from Manhattan who falls in love with a farmer. She gives up her Manhattan life style to start up an organic farm with him. It's good so far (I never appreciated how complex a farm can be!).

Just started Night Road by Kristin Hannah. Good so far.

I am reading "Full Dark, No Stars" by Stephen King. I enjoy his books as well as Dean Koontz. I am just waiting for the 5th book of Koontz' 'Frankenstein' series to come out.

Reading Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood. Boy, it was off to a slow start but I think it's starting to pick up a bit. It has great reviews so I hope I can stick with it.

Just finished Fall of Giants

I stand corrected ... Pillars of the Earth and World Without End are not in this series.

However ... FOG was *great*. I loved every minute of it. And it's a BIG book, so there were a lot of minutes

The Count of Monte Cristo it's my hands down favorite book and I read it at least once a year!

I'm also working on the Winds of the Forelands series. I'm really enjoying them, I haven't read fantasy before. Unless you count Harry Potter or Twilight! lol

I have just started Fat Girl by Judith Moore. I am on these type of memoir reads lately.
I have so many book son my e-reader sometimes I have no idea where to start. hehe

I just started reading Game of Thrones. It's good and I'm glad I went ahead and bought the 4 book set.

I remember this one from a few years ago. It was a good read.

I need a good series for my ereader. I love to read & am a pretty fast reader, so a long series would make me happy too. I like fiction.
Stephen King is one of my favorite authors. I loved the Harry Potter books. Twilight was good too, but not as good as JK Rowling. I did like the Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones series too. I usually like Oprah's recommendations, and Nicholas Sparks makes me cry, but I enjoy them too.

Any suggestions?
