  • Yes this sounds amazing!! I'm going home for Thanksgiving to see all of my extended family for the first time since i've started losing weight--so hopefully I can lose enough for them to notice!! I would be SO excited to lose at least 1lb/week for a total of 9lbs lost, or just to get to 135 (11.4lbs to lose!). Here's to hoping we all make our goals!! Good luck

  • I'm in!!!! Not at home right now, so I will step on the scale and update my post once I get there. I'm a pro at starting "diets" and not finishing. I'm trying to kick that habit to reach my goals and maintain. Good luck to us all!!!

    What is everyone doing to reach their goal? I am sticking with calorie counting for now (1400-1600 a day). I don't have a formal exercise routine yet but I hope to get back into the gym soon!


    I'm not following any specific program.....I've tried that plenty of times in the past and I'm the type of person that messes up and gives up when I don't follow rules exact. So, my plan is to cook all my meals which consist of whole foods every 3-4 hrs (I paid close attention to my body and notice that I get hungry again around 3 1/2 hrs later no matter what I eat) and to take at least one class on my gym days (this is much easier then using equipment because I can get bored quickly and not put as much into the exercise as I could).
  • Count me in! We don't have Thanksgiving where I live but I have so many things to be thankful for and I love timed challenged, so it's win-win. Thanksgiving is on a Thursday so that should probably be my weigh in day, right? I usually do Sundays, but I can add in a Thursday. I'll weigh in tomorrow morning and edit this.

  • I will definitely join! I haven't told my parents yet that I've been exercising like a maniac (they probably wouldnt take it seriously anyway) and since we live in different states I wont see them until Thanksgiving - I am realllly hoping to see their mouths hang open when they see a much skinnier me!!

    I think a realistic weight loss to achieve by Thanksgiving is 13lbs. Honestly I hope I lose much more than that but I have to be realistic and don't want to set up a goal to fail at by pushing for 20 lbs ..... so 13 lbs it is!

  • Hi folks. I've been lurking for awhile, but I want to play too!

    I've been dieting for a couple of weeks now, but I just started weighing myself last Sunday. Eating between 1200-1500/day and weighing every morning. I hope to be in the 140s by Thanksgiving. Will post my Wednesday weight-ins.

  • Looking toward Thanksgiving 2011 and the 180s!
    I'm new to 3 Fat Chicks and this will be my first challenge (as well as my first post). I will set a goal of 13 pounds by Thanksgiving which will get me into the 180s for the first time in my adult life.
