  • congrats wishfuiiy...your story is so inspiring to me... I had to read it twice. Keep up the great work!!!
  • Yes, and you know what? The numbers on the scale keep dropping! I'm no longer scared to step on it at all. I might not like the number, but I DO love watching it drop.
  • That is great! How long had lapsed since the E and then the 325?
Keep going and going and going!
  • Keeping checking in for the support and the accountability. You can do it! It is a life style change of eating. Oh! I forgot...when you get your weight ticker, make sure you start it at 400+ and you will see a nice big drop in weight on the ticker. Motivation to get to going and keep going!
  • Just a 13 days! I think the E showed up on the scales at Wal-Mart because I didn't calibrate them. The E at my Mom's house showed up, because her scale is old and probably doesn't read high. Still, I'm only 8lbs away from getting out of the 300s, and I am excited.

Congrats! You'll be there before you know it!

That makes sense about the E. I like my scale because it recalibrates every time before I step on it.
  • What a great surprise. And well done facing your fear!
  • Amazing! Girl, you are so inspiring to me, you don't even know. You're doing a great job, keep it up!
  • Thank you for sharing. Been there.
  • Well done. Inspiring story to get started! Thank you for sharing
  • I think this post is the perfect example of how silly we are sometimes about what we fear! Most of the time it's something silly. But I realized a long time ago that I am a certain weight whether I know the exact weight or not. So I might as well know it and be in control of it.

If you feel you've lost about one pants size, you are probably pretty accurate in your estimate of 350 as your beginning weight. I had to lose about 20 pounds to drop a size when I was 250 pounds. You are doing a fantastic job. The mental game is harder than the physical one, and you just took charge of the mental game when you bought the scale. Fantastic!

Isn't that the truth? I don't know why I finally decided, 'enough'. I don't know how all of you do this for years. But I'm figuring it out.
  • I have hid from the scale for so long! But refusing to step on it didn't keep the weight from adding on and on. Now I'm just going to weigh weekly, to try not to get all those little ups and downs each day. Congratulations on facing your fear and seeking out a new scale. You are inspiring!
