  • Hello Friends,

Food has been pretty good today. About time too. Exercise, well what can I say. I don't like most of the exercise videos, not a lot of room to work out with one and walking outdoors isn't easy when it's always snowing . I don't want to be a target for a sliding sedan. No sidewalks out here in the country.

It's still cold and snowing. We're supposed to get 6 inches tonight. It's going up to 26º tomorrow. Heat Wave!!! The poor folks in Oswego (25 miles north of here, on the lake) got about 4 feet, yup - feet, in less than 6 hrs. earlier today. I think it was in either 1966 or 1976 they got over 100 inches of snow in 3 days. They are prepared though and are experts at getting it cleared away. Trouble is you need plastic flowers or flags on your car antenna so the other drivers can see you over the snow banks at the corners.

Tonight we watched a flock of about 25 wild turkeys slog up the wooded hill behind the house. Then they turned around and ran as fast as they could down the hill, launching themselves into the air to land in the pines and roost for the night. It was hysterical. They'd abort take offs because they were on a collision course with another bird or if they were closing in on a pine tree and not getting enough lift to get off the ground. Too bad the video camera wasn't charged. This might have been worth $'s on one of the animal funniest video type show.

Saw a national company production of Miss Saigon last night, in Syracuse. I love this musical but the production was not the best by a long shot. I admit to being spoiled cause I've seen it in Toronto and NY. The biggest problem seemed to be that the supporting characters couldn't decide whether to sing or speak their lines. It drove me nuts! I still managed to cry in all the right places though.

LUCKY: I like the baby oil idea. Damn, I just like being babied! :
DUCKIE: is the -29º C. or F.? BURRRRRRR

SARA: Poor baby! Those clothes just leapt out and jumped into your arms didn't they? What else could you do but buy them? I'm sure DH would not want them to be orphans. I second Lucky's ideas for instant weight loss. You ARE my idol.

BAYLEE: Glad you checked in. I was getting worried.

MARY: You are soo good about just stopping to say Hi even when you're off on a busy day. You set an example for all of us to just get here at the start of every day. Thank You!!

KAT: OMG your taste in music matches mine. At work today I listened to Carole King, Carley Simon, Judy Collins, Paul McCartney and 1776. I'm taking Miss S. for tomorrow.

Gotta go put the dogs out for their 2 minute run.
  • Oh you girls that didn't make chat missed all the fun! Come out, come out Saturday night!

    Nighty night!
  • KAT,

I might try. Sounds like ya'll have fun. I've never chatted before so I'll need some guidance. Like how do I get there? I'm on the my family list.

    j-ann
  • Well where do I start
    1. Son is still working and seems to like it even though I have to take him and he has to catch a ride home. Hope it lasts.

    2. Work is busy they still haven't hired a head Librarian yet hopefully by Feb. 1.

    3. Food is ok I weighed at my Aunt's yesterday with boots and all my clothes on and I weighed 190 but this morning I weighed on my scales naked (what a site) and Iweighed 193.

    4. On a somber note our neice in Yipsalanti MI is getting worse. We thought she was cancer free but before christmas they found she had several small brain tumors that they were trying to treat with radiation and they were shrinking. Today is her birthday so we called. The Dr's told them that the cancer has spread to her spine and matistacised (sp) which isn't good. They said she would just keep getting weaker and losing the use of her limbs. I feel sorry for Dh his brother, this girls father died 2 years ago in March. She is the only family Dh has left. Cindy has 3 little girls. I wish we lived closer so I could help her but her mother-in-law is there so that's good. Thin, how far are you from Yipsalanti?

5.Sorry I missed chat maybe Sat. night.

Well I better run have to take son to work later.
  • Hi everybody! Boy, I can tell the holidays are over. Work, work, work. If I'm not out doing the jobs, I'm home doing the paperwork! YIKES!

    No time for replies, sorry.

Mary: Ypsilanti is about an hour and a half southwest of me. Why? Are you coming up?

Baylee: Glad you're back. Big time, missed ya!

I'll catch everyone else later. Love ya.
  • Thin ,We want to caome up but if we do now then if something happens to Cindy we'll need to come then. So we are on hold right now. I just wondered.
  • Mary: Being 'out of town' is soooo hard when someone is sick or dying. You're stuck between wanting to come and see them so you can visit (for maybe the last time) and the idea of needing to be there when/if there's a funeral. Boy, it's tough. I've been in that situation before and it's not easy. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. [[[hugs]]]

Hello to everyone else. I'm planning on another good day. I will resist saying "OP" because I'm really not. My "OP" includes all the fruits/veggie servings (check), eating within WW points (check), AND getting in all my water (which I'm still having a hard time with), AND journalling (which I'm not doing much of), AND doing some form of 'activity' everyday (which is non-existant), so I can't say I'm "OP", but I'm getting there. :O

Hope to see you guys later. Lots of paperwork and jobs today.
  • Good morning lovely ladies! I don't really have a lot to report but if I did, I'd be in trouble. "Chatt Cathy" is in full force this morning. This is what gripes the crap out of me.....
When you are on the internet, you are usually looking up information, or reading something, right? So that means you are trying to concentrate. It is VERY difficult to concentrate when you have this idiot babbling in your ear! And she has to make sure you are paying attention to her too....because ever so often she will say things like, "You know what I mean?" or "What do you think about that?" I think what makes me mad is that when takes her turn on the internet, I sit over there and mind my own business..... I read a book or keep myself busy and don't bother her, but the minute I sit down over here, there goes that mouth!! I think I should offer her some Imodium AD, because she definitely has diarrhea of the mouth!

Whew.......enough about that. She just gets me so riled up!

Other than that, I really don't have a lot to catch up on. I am still OP and my calendar is getting almost filled! Halfway through January and sailing smoothly!

By the way, for those of you not in chat last night.....we had a really good time! (especially since I went to the right place this time!) I do have to agree though that we should get our own room. I don't want to be stand offish, but we all know one another and when someone else comes in, they have no idea what we're talking about and feels left out anyways. What do you think?

I would also like to mention I did my WATP 3 mile last night! I almost passed out,
    but I did it!!

Well, I guess I'm off here for now. They are calling for snow today and believe it or not, we might actually get some. The hilarious part is, it hasn't even dropped a flake yet and tons of schools are closing and some are even closing for tomorrow and nothing has even happened yet!!! There's just something about that, that tickles me.

    I love you all......
  • Well it's laundry day again. So that means up and down the stairs about a dozen times at least. I also vacuumed the upstairs, cleaned the bathroom and did my Watp 1 mile already. I'm planning on doing the 2 mile as well. I wasn't feeling well yesterday so I didn't exercise so I'm making up for it today. Food and water are doing pretty good for the most part. I didn't really eat or drink anything for the most part of yesterday. I had a killer migraine. Anyway, I got a chance to lay down for a couple of hours so that relieved the migraine. I went to dinner with my sister last night. We went to Don Pablos( mexican) I ate a couple of tortilla chips w/ salsa before the meal came. There was a lot of food. I don't even think I finished half of my order. I had a bean burrito and a soft chicken taco and some mexican rice. I only ate a couple of spoonfuls of the rice. I ate the whole taco, but only about 1/3 of the burrito. It really filled me up. I am so proud of myself because before I would have eaten everything just because it was there. It's so great to be in control. Lucky- I noticed you had a 2 lb loss. Way to go! Congrats to everyone else as well. And Sara- 1 lb from goal. You are amazing! Well time to put my daughter down for a nap and get exercising.
    Steph
  • Let me know what room were chatting in so I don't miss anything
  • Another chilly day, but at least it's snowing today, if it's going to be so cold it might as well snow. Yes it's been -29 C here for the last week, today it's not to bad - 14 C. But really need the snow, the farmers need the moisture.

Peeked at the scale this morning, things are looking good, now if I can just make it thru the weekend, no if's I will make it, and report a good loss on Monday. I can't wait to get this weight off, I really can't wait to see what size my chest should really be, right now I have these huge knockers, and would love to lose half of them, and If I don't I'm pretty sure a breast reduction surgery is in the future, when I hit goal wait, I hate having such large boobs, always adjusting my bra, and tucking them back in when I bend over or do any kind of house work. AHH to be a regular C cup would be so nice.

Do you have to register to use my family chat site, I was looking at the site yesterday, and it says there's a cost to register, can someone send me some information on how to log in, and join the chat room. And don't some of you have pictures posted their, would love to be able to check them out, HOW DO, I DO IT???

I've realized lately, that I don't miss fast food at all, weve been living in this small town for about 2yrs, and there's no fast food joints at all, the closest McDonald's is 30 miles away, before I would always be stopping at some type of Fast Food, if I was driving in my car I was eating. Now I find all that greasy food kind of disgusting. Would rather have a good home cooked meal any day.

Tina, I can't believe there shutting down the schools, just in case it snow's, The schools here are never shut down, the busses might not run, but that's only if it get below -30 C. If that was the case here the schools would be shut down 4 months a year, to funny.

Well off to work I go, the lunch bell will be ringing soon, I know my belly can't wait. I got the rumblies in my tummy going on.
  • Greetings, earthlings...
How goes it? All is well in my neck of the woods. Let me get my gratitude out of the way...

**I am ever so grateful that my yearly GYN visit is done and I don't have to see that lovely man for another year! I don't know what it is, well, yes I do...who wants to sit there in the paper gown (they did give me a JUMBO one that almost wrapped around me twice!) and scooch down to the end of the table and talk about the weather? i must say, I was thrilled that they didn't put me on the scale, just asked me my weight. *whew!* What is it about getting on that scale? No comments about my weight either...I like that. I guess he figures "she knows she's fat...I don't need to point out the obvious!" He really is a lovely man and makes the whole experience as pleasant and painless as possible...it's just...ah well...it's over.
**I am grateful that i mustered up all the "anti-procrastination" power that I had in me and made all the appointments that needed to be made...dentist for everyone, eye doc for me, ear doc for son. I booked son's birthday party at his favorite "Laser Tag" place.
**I am grateful for the sunset that I saw last night.
**I am grateful for chat rooms, for they bring us that much closer...it really is a lot of fun...I would love to see the whole gang chatting one day!
**I am grateful for the unabashed love and devotion of my dog. She is a big ol' pain in the butt sometimes, but she just gazes at me adoringly with those big brown eyes and my heart melts.

Duckie...you just posted as I was typing. I got a chuckle out of your comment,

Me too! I KNOW I'm not a natural 42C! Ahhh, I remember, once upon a time, being 36B...memories...no sagging, chafing, "back fat" hanging over the back of the bra! ...Of course, after nursing two children, I will never see that number again...I'd just like to purchase something pretty and sexy in Victoria's Secret when I reach goal! BTW...why don't you PM Baylee and get the xcoop on how to join MyFamily...

Steph...MMMM! Mexican food! I haven't had that in a long time, don't know if I would have shown as much restraint! Good for you! Between the chips and salsa AND the margaritas alone, I could easily zip through a day or two's worth of points!
I'm glad the migraine is gone.

Tina...I have a similar situation...she's not a Chatty Cathy, though...I'll call her Scary Mary! She works days...her shift starts at 6:00, but she comes in anywhere between 5:15 and 5:30...just so she can regale (bore) me with every minute detail of the previous days events, as she LOUDLY slurps her tea. (cringe) A. I don't care. B. Not interested. C. CAN'T SHE SEE I'M READING??? I try to scoot off that floor when I know her time is nigh, but she comes looking for me if I'm not there. I have even resorted to beeping myself and hurrying off to do "some work." Sorry you don't have that luxury, Tina, you're stuck!

Thin...sounds like you are moving in the right direction! You may not be "there or totally OP" but you're on your way. Keep that positive attitude!

Mary...I'm so sorry about your niece. It sure is rough when you're not close enough just to be able to go there and be supportive. {{{hugs}}} and prayers to you and your family.

J-ann...if you are on the myfamily list, just go to the website, click on chat, then under Group chat, click on "launch group chat." We have a LOT of fun!

Lucky...did you exercise today? There's still time... Any word on your job prospects?

Sara...ONE LB AWAY! That is fantastic. You are my hero. I am just slightly less that you were when you started. This time next year, we'll be swapping outfits! Keep exercising, you'll tighten up.

2cute...As always, your words of wisdom have really hit home.
    Quote:
Happiness is not going to be some miracle that suddenly shows up when we're skinny!
Oh, it's taken me a long time to realize that! Be happy and grateful each day that you are given, whether you are fat or skinny...who knows what tomorrow may bring?

Baylee...I'm so glad you popped back in to see us! We missed you! What's new in your neck of the woods?

Well...it's time for me to get my butt in gear and get some housework done...this place looks like a hurricane blew through!
One more night of work and I'm off for 4 days...ahhhh...I'm looking forward to another good chat. SATURDAY, how about 7:30 or 8, est? Is that good for you guys? Later is OK too...that way i can get everyone all squared away before I sit down to chat and chuckle!

    Have a good day, friends...
  • 6:30 / 7PM Saturday...Central...in the MyFamily site....that is private to only us....

    TINA....NOT 3FC site the MyFamily one.....okay??????
  • Two good things to report...I exercised @ Curves today...AND my dh and I were sitting at the kitchen table earlier, having a cup of tea. He was looking at me kind of funny (no...not THAT way! ) "What?" I said. "Have you lost some weight?" "Some" I replied. "I see it in your face," he said. "Your cheekbones are showing!"

    Made my day!
  • I knew THONG BOY would always come through.

    What a sweetie!!!

WAY behind tonight....my brother was here twice and we always get to gabbing...

    Just wanted to say

    Happy Friday to you all.....
