I did a 5k yesterday and my speed had improved to 16 min per mile. So today when I was out for my long run of the week, which moved up to 5 miles, I kept reminding myself to keep up the pace. I was pleasantly surprised when I got home and realized I had kept the 16 min per mile pace for the entire run.

Why? Because last time I ran outdoors (on trail), my left knee gave way and it was soooo embarrasing to have to limp back to my car and drive all the way home. I've been running indoors ever since.
I find that my runs are ALWAYS stronger the day after eating high calorie.
