    BFC guidelines for Sugar/Carb(S/C) values:

    5 grams of sugar per meal=15g a day.....Carbs(6 servings per day):

    5 to 20 grams=1 serving
    21 to 40grams=2 servings
    41 to 60grams=3 servings.

    Anything under 5 grams is not counted.

    Just Commit to 1 week at a time......Goal being 10lbs. less by July 31st.

    The book really explains how sugar effects your body and it includes 3 weeks of easy to follow menus and a list of carb exchanges with values in back. You can find the book online by Jorge Cruise, Walmart, amazon,etc.

    I saw the book in several places online and I think I will order only the main book. There are some locations that sell them used, and you save a couple dollars by doing that.

  • Congrats BCL on the 1/2 pound!

    I must have taken it, as I'm 1/2 pound, but I'm sure it's due to eating pizza last night - the salt in it always makes me retain water the next day. I'm not worried however, as the meal was only 3/2 .
  • don't panic!
    webwoman 3/2 is not bad...just get right back on the wagon and drink lots of water to flush out the salt and don't forget your calcium. It also helps with water weight and many other benefits. Weigh in is Monday and I hope I can be down at least 4lbs. Try and stay strong this weekend and post if you need some encouragement. Have a wonderful weekend.

    Hmmmm. I ordered the book, and this morning I got an email cancelling my order because it had been sold to someone else around the same time. I ordered from that particular seller because the were in the next state and I thought that would help it come faster. Now I will look for another seller.

  • Ok today has been challenging, I am retaining fluid like crazy and I feel so bloated. I think that I need to add some exercises like right now.

    I'd like to chime in, but we're on vacation in S. Carolina all week and there's no way to weigh myself here. I'm trying to stick to plan and think I might be doing it, as I don't crave sweets like everyone else with me. I'll chime back in on Monday probably, but leave that night for training in Charlotte, NC for the next week. It's challenging to stay on plan away from home when wonderful foods are available 24/7, but I'm trying to be strong.

    Thanks and Wow, I would love to be at the beach. I hope that you are having a great time. I am learning that I am having a few challenges with
    BFC I need to address. I have not been keeping a log of my S/C. I just keep it in my head. I really need to start a food and exercise journal. Thats when I actually start exercising. enjoy whats left of your vacation and we can catchup next week.

  • I'm just starting today! Just found this site/this thread.

    Went grocery shopping this morning, so I'm all stocked up. I started limiting sugar on Monday and then found this diet... Very excited about it.

    Lots to learn, but I'm ready! Also ready to lose 18 pounds (at least) to be at my goal weight: 140 pounds

    So Happy to have you with us. It sounds as if you are ready to go and have things planned out. Do you have the book"Belly fat Cure"? It really explains in detail the theory. It was so helpful to me. I am planning to do my cooking tomorrow for most of the week. I have not had very good results this time, I examined what I was doing and realized that I have not been eating enough. I am also consumming to much salt. So I hope these changes will help me reach my mini goal of 10lbs. by 7/31. I wish you luck and look forward in having you joining in.
